Subject:     RESOLUTION.

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 17^th February, 2026 has unanimously passed the following Resolution No. 31; moved by Mr. Muhammad Mazahir Amir, MPA:

Whereas the Government of Sindh, under the Universal Accident Insurance Scheme, presently provides a compensation amount of Rupees One Hundred Thousand (Rs. 100,000) to the legal heirs of persons who lose their lives because of accidents.

And whereas due to prevailing inflation, rising cost of living, and increasing economic pressures, the said amount has become insufficient to meet the basic needs of the affected families.

Now, therefore, this August House resolves and strongly urges the Government of Sindh to enhance the compensation amount under the Universal Accident Insurance Scheme from Rupees One Hundred Thousand (Rs. 100,000) to Rupees Five Hundred Thousand (Rs. 500,000), and to take immediate legal and administrative measures in this regard.
