Ali Khursheedi, born on May 10, 1986, in Karachi, is an engineer by qualification, holding a B.S. in Electronics from Sir Syed University of Engineering and Technology. He is affiliated with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement – Pakistan (MQM-P).
He began his political career with MQM-P and was first elected to the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in 2018 from Constituency PS-119 (Karachi West-VIII). In the 2024 general elections, he was re-elected from the redefined Constituency PS-119 (Karachi West-IV). Following the election, MQM-P nominated him as their candidate for the Chief Minister of Sindh. Although he did not secure the position, he was appointed as the Leader of the Opposition in the Sindh Assembly on March 31, 2024.
He currently leads the opposition benches in the assembly and represents MQM-P’s legislative stance on key provincial matters.
