Anthony Naveed is a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and currently serves as the 18th Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh. Elected on a reserved seat for minorities in 2018, he was re-elected in 2024. On February 25, 2024, he made history by becoming the first Christian to hold the Deputy Speaker position in Sindh's legislative history.

Born in 1971 in Karachi's Akhtar Colony, Naveed holds a Diploma in Garment Technology from the Pakistan Swedish Institute of Technology. He began his political career with the PPP in 2005, contesting local body elections. In 2016, he was appointed Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh.

During his tenure as MPA, Naveed has been an advocate for minority rights, focusing on equitable hiring practices and educational access. As Deputy Speaker, he plays a pivotal role in presiding over assembly proceedings and ensuring fair legislative conduct.
