Karachi (4 February 2026):
The Deputy Speaker of the People’s Majlis of the Maldives, Hon. Ahmed Nazim, has arrived in Karachi, Pakistan to participate in the Second Joint Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) Asia and South-East Asia Regional Conference, being hosted by the Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 3–7 February 2026.  

On his arrival at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi, Hon. Ahmed Nazim was warmly received by Deputy Speaker of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Anthony Naveed, along with MPAs, Khurram Karim Soomro, Engr Adil Askari and Maas Mehboob. 

The CPA Regional Conference has brought together parliamentarians, Speakers, Deputy Speakers, and parliamentary representatives from over 17 legislative bodies in Asia and South-East Asia. 

Delegates are set to engage in high-level discussions to promote parliamentary cooperation, democratic governance, inclusion, innovation, and regional cooperation.
