Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh Syed Awais Qadir Shah Attends Meeting of the Board of Governors of Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services

Islamabad, 13th May 2026: Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Awais Qadir Shah, attended the meeting of the Board of Governors of the Pakistan Institute for Parliamentary Services (PIPS), held at the PIPS Board Room, Islamabad.

The meeting was presided over by President PIPS and Chairman Senate of Pakistan, Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani.

The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Governors, including Deputy Speaker National Assembly Syed Ghulam Mustafa Shah, Speaker Provincial Assembly of Punjab Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan, and Speaker Provincial Assembly of Balochistan Abdul Khaliq Khan.

During the meeting, the Board discussed important agenda items related to strengthening parliamentary capacity and institutional development. The agenda included revised estimates for FY 2025-26 and proposed budget estimates for FY 2026-27 along with the Business Plan 2026-27, the Parliamentary Leadership Course (PLC) for newly elected members, laying of the PIPS Annual Report 2024-25, and consideration of audit observations regarding regularization matters under the PIPS Employees Rules, 2010.

Speaker Provincial Assembly of Sindh Syed Awais Qadir Shah emphasized the importance of enhancing parliamentary research, legislative training, and institutional coordination among democratic institutions to further strengthen parliamentary cooperation in Pakistan.

Speaker Syed Awais Qadir Shah appreciated the role of PIPS in the capacity building of legislators and parliamentary officers across the country.

The meeting of the Board of Governors concluded with voting on the agenda items.
