Location-wise number of Katchi Abadis currently existing in District East Karachi alongwith intention of the Government to regularize the same?

It is stated that in District East Karachi, the following number of Katchi Abadis exists:
Notified 43
Un-Notified 08
Total 51
List of KatchiAbadis of District East is at Annexure placed on the Table of the House.
Government intends to regularize the remaining un-notified Katchi Abadis which exist on or before 31.12.2011 by giving ownership rights to the peoples living in Katchi Abadis after completion of codal formalities i.e.
Reconnaissance survey
Inclusion of settlement in Master List of
Declaration / Notification of Katchi Abadi under section 19 of SKA Act 1987
Preparation of Amelioration Plan
Grant of ownership rights by executing lease deed in the office of Sub-Registrar

Grade-wise how many persons were appointed in Kachi Abadi department during 2016-2017 to 2022-2023 what criteria was adopted for above?
ANSWER
SYED MURAD ALI SHAH (CHIEF MINISTER): MINISTER FOR HUMAN SETTLEMENT:-
1. 08 persons appointed on Deceased Quota during 2016-17 to 2022-2023
List is at Annexure A Placed on the Table of the House
2. 14 persons appointed on Differently Abled Quota during 2016-17 to 2022-2023
List is at Annexure B Placed on the Table of the House.
3. In 2022, various appointments in Grade BS-01 to BS-16 were made, which were cancelled/annulled with the approval of the competent authority i.e. the Chairman, Human Settlement Authority due to non-completion of codal formalities and serious irregularities made in the process of recruitment.
4. In 2023, with the approval of the competent authority i.e. the Chairman, Human Settlement Authority, fresh recruitment/ appointment in BS-01 to BS-16 were made in accordance with rules / laws of the Authority by following the criteria:
- Inviting applications through advertisement in leading newspapers
- Scrutiny / short listing
- Interview / Test
- Committee recommendation
During the recruitment, the entire process has been halted / freezed in view of the interim order dated: 09.08.2023 passed by the Honorable High Court of Sindh, Karachi in Suit No.1564 of 2023.

(a) Is it fact that a scheme Upgradation plan of CC Drain & CC Flooring at KatchiAbadis Jogi Jamali Colony, Khairpur with cost of Rs. 10.00 million completed in June 2022?
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, details of the project/scheme?

(a) Yes, Affirmative
(b)The Scheme was started in October, 2021 and completed in 2023.

District-wise number of Katchi Abadies leased out in the province during 2021-2023 including the criteria followed?
ANSWER

It is stated that there are 50 Katchi Abadis which has been leased out during 2021-2023, in the following division of the province.
1. Karachi. 07
2. Hyderabad. 16
3. Mirpurkhas. 10
4. Shaheed Benazirabad. 01
5. Sukkur. 02
6. Larkana. 14

Government is mandated to regularize the Katchi Abadis which exist on or before 31.12.2011 by giving ownership rights to the peoples living in Katchi Abadis after completion of codal formalities i.e.
