District-wise number of play grounds in Karachi city as well as facilities provided therein?

 

ANSWER

 

SARDAR MUHAMMAD BUX KHAN MAHAR, MINISTER FOR SPORTS AND YOUTH AFFAIRS:

 

There are 239 play grounds / sporting facilities in Karachi city.

            District-wise break up is as under;

District Central=  35(Annexure-I)

District East = 46(Annexure-II)

District South = 35 (Annexure-III)

District West= 17(Annexure-IV)

District Korangi = 41(Annexure-V)

District Malir= 41 (Annexure-VI)

District Keamari= 24 (Annexure-VII)

(Annexures from I to VII are placed on the Table of the House)

Facilities provided for the sports during last five years as well as amount spent in this regard?

ANSWER

 

SARDAR MUHAMMAD BUX KHAN MAHAR, MINISTER FOR SPORTS AND YOUTH AFFAIRS:

 

62 Sporting facilities in various shapes i.e. Stadiums, Playgrounds, Athletic tracks and multipurpose Sports Complexes at the cost of Rs. 3,541.323(M) for the last five years have been provided by the Sports & Youth Affairs Department, Government of Sindh. The year wise details are as under:

Year 2018-19

16 Sporting facilities provided at the cost of Rs.923.801(M).

Year 2019-20

No scheme could be completed due to COVID-19.

Year 2020-21

11 Sports Facilities provided at the cost of Rs.790.754(M).

Year 2021-22

20 Sports Facilities provided at the cost of Rs.936.375(M).

 

Year 2022-23

Scheme could not be completed due to DCM (Difference in Cost of Material) &                                    Re-appropriation of funds approved by P&D. However, Finance Department had not adopted.

 

Year 2023-24

15 Sports Facilities provided at the cost of Rs.890.393(M).

Number of sports complex and Training centers established in Karachi including number of the same to be established in future alongwith number of youth benefitted?

 

ANSWER

 

SARDAR MUHAMMAD BUX KHAN MAHAR, MINISTER FOR SPORTS AND YOUTH AFFAIRS:

 

Sports Complex(es) in Karachi.

The Government of Sindh has constructed two Sports Complexes in Karachi which are as under

  1. Sindh Sports Board Complex Nazimabad
  2. Sports Complex at Scouts at Gulshan-e-Iqbal.

 

The Following Centers have been constructed for Training in Karachi.

  1. Sports Academy, Players Hostel & Allied facilities at NNG Ground at North Nazimabad.
  2. Hockey Academy NIPA, Karachi
  3. SSB Sports Complex Nazimabad.
  4. Abdul SattarEdhi Hockey Academy / Ground, Karachi.
  5. Benazir Bhutto Football Academy at Madho Goth near NIPA, Karachi.
  6.  Jahangir Memorial Football Academy North Nazimabad, Karachi.
  7. Old Golimar Football Academy Old GolimarManghopir road, Karachi.
  8. Khyber Muslim Football Academy Baldia Town, Karachi.

 

Schemes to be completed in the future

  1. Muhammad Sami Cricket Academy at Falah Ground, Block-H, North Nazimabad, Karachi.
  2. Nasir Ismael Football Academy at Falah Ground, Block-H, North Nazimabad, Karachi.
  3. Olympian Islahuddin Siddiqui- Dr. Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Hockey Academy, Karachi.

District-wise details of sports officers posted in various districtsof Sindh?

 

ANSWER

 

SARDAR MUHAMMAD BUX KHAN MAHAR, MINISTER FOR SPORTS AND YOUTH AFFAIRS:

 

On the recommendation of Sindh Public Service Commission, twenty five(25) District Sports Officers (BS-17) have been appointed vide Notification No.SO(Admn)/S&YAD/2023/1431 dated 13.03.2023and posted in various districts.Annexures-A&B are placed on the Table of the House.

What steps are being taken by Sindh Government for the promotion of regional games Malakhera, Donkeycart, racing, Football andAthletics etc.

 

ANSWER

 

SARDAR MUHAMMAD BUX KHAN MAHAR, MINISTER FOR SPORTS AND YOUTH AFFAIRS:

 

The Government of Sindh has taken many steps for the promotion of regional games which include;

  1. Developed infrastructure for regional games i.e. Malakhera Stadiums, Athletic tracks and Football Grounds.

 

  1. Financing such Sports associations for organizing, holding events and competitions.

 

 

  1. Imparting training through coaches.

 

  1. Arranging media coverage through print, electronic and social media.

 

 

  1. By giving awards / prizes as recognition and encouragement of players.

Will the Minister for Sports be pleased to State:-

 

Is it fact that Sports complex has been constructed for the Sports women by the Government of Sindh, if so detail there of?

 

ANSWER

 

SARDAR MUHAMMAD BUX KHAN MAHAR, MINISTER FOR SPORTS AND YOUTH AFFAIRS:

 

Following sporting facilities have been constructed for women in the province.

  1. Construction of Multipurpose Sports Hall and Synthetic Futsal Ground at Khatoon-e-Pakistan Girls School Stadium Road, Karachi.

 

  1. Construction of Multipurpose Sports Hall & Synthetic Futsal Ground atGovt. Degree Shaikh Zaid (Girls) College University Road, Karachi.

 

  1. Construction of Futsal Ground for Ladies art Government Girls College Jacobabad.

 

  1. Construction of Multipurpose hall at Government Girls College, Ghotki.

 

  1. Construction of ladies gym at Larkano.

 

In addition to above exclusive sporting facilities meant for girls only, the other combined sporting facilities are also availed by the girls at the fixed timetable.
