Will the Minister for Women Development be pleased to State: -
(a) Is it a fact that display centers were established during 2018 to 2024 to introduce work of handicrafts and skills of women for other cities;
(b) If answer to (a) above is in the affirmative, the details thereof?
ANSWER
MS. SHAHEENA SHER ALI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT: -
It is stated that no any display centers were established during the year 2018-2024 to introduce the handicraft and skills of women for other cities of Sindh.

Will the Minister for Women Development be pleased to State: -
(a) Is it a fact that Protection Committees are to be constituted under Section 17(1) of the Domestic Violence (Prevention and Protection) Act, 2015;
(b) If the answer to (a) above is affirmative, what is the number of the same established, including relief provided to the aggrieved persons from June 30, 2023, to December 31, 2025?
ANSWER
MS. SHAHEENA SHER ALI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT: -
It is submitted that Protection Committees have been officially notified under section 17 (1) of the Domestic Violence (Prevention & Protection) Act, 2015 during the current year, i.e., 2026 across fourteen (14) districts in Sindh, namely: (1) Karachi Central, (2) Karachi East, (3) Karachi South, (4) Keamari, (5) Hyderabad, (6) Matiari, (7) Badin, (8) Thatta, (9) Sujawal, (10) Larkana, (11) Jacobabad, (12) Sukkur, (13) Ghotki, and (14) Khairpur. The process of notifying Protection Committees in the remaining districts shall be finalized shortly. As, these committees have been framed during the current year, hence data regarding relief provided to the aggrieved women during the period from June, 2023 to December, 2025 may be treated as nil.

(a) Is it a fact that new policies were introduced for the welfare of women by the department during the last five years;
(b) If the answer to (a) above is in the affirmative, name of thepolicies?
ANSWER
MS. SHAHEENA SHER ALI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT: -
No new policy has been framed by the Department during the last five years.

Will the Minister for Women Development be pleased to State: -
(a) Is it a fact that the department is currently working for the protection of women’s rights and their welfare;
(b) If the answer to (a) above is affirmative, details thereof, including the names of the projects?
ANSWER
MS. SHAHEENA SHER ALI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT: -
Yes, the Department has been working for the protection of women’s rights and their welfare.
The Department has established 1094 helpline, Women Complaint Cells, Safe Houses and DarulAmans and disseminates awareness for the protection of Women rights.
As far as the welfare of Women is concerned, the Department has established Day Care Centres, Working Women Hostels. It also provides interest free loans and skill development trainings to empower women financially.

(a) Is it a fact that special programs were launched for the betterment of women living in remote areas of the province during last year;
(b) If the answer to (a) above is in the affirmative, name of the programs.
ANSWER
MS. SHAHEENA SHER ALI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT: -
No new programshave been introduced in the remote areas by the Department during the last financial year.
