1.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 60 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. ARSALAN TAJ HUSSAIN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement regarding why there is a double standard by KW&SB in maintaining water supply and sewerage services. In an official memorandum vide KW&SB/DMD/HRD&A/208 dated 26-08-2019, the Competent Authority of the authority of KW&SB had directed to take over Water Supply & Sewerage Services from DMC (East) for some specific areas only.

2.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 61 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED IMRAN ALI SHAH, MPA: Would the Honourable Minister of Wildlife please answer to the fact that 1,200 Kg of meat of turtles and Pangolins were stolen from the Karachi Wildlife Office. The estimated price was valued at Rs.2 million. I would like to enquire that 10 months have lapsed and has there been any progress/recovery.

3.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 59 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY DR. SANJAY GANGWANI, MPA: It has been reported that 30 ventilators of total 104 have been out of order for several years at Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital. Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement on this serious matter.

4.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 58 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. NAND KUMAR GOKLANI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that Sunil Kumar S/o Gotam Hindu Mehshwari resident of Chachro Town Tharparkar was suffering from Congo Crimean fever and was admitted in Agha Khan Hospital Karachi in the first week of November 2019, who was expired last night in the Hospital, if so it is requested that screening process of his family members and those who were in-contact of the disease may be carried out so that threat of spreading of epidemic disease should be finished.

5.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 57 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD RIAZ HAIDER, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Supply and Prices be pleased to state that why the Government fails in regulating Price Control, especially for the essential food items. People of Karachi continuously being charged over priced and no Authority seems in action, food, milk, vegetables, fruits etc, all are being sold at two to three times high prices.

Number of blood banks functional in the province?

ANSWER

Total 156 Blood Banks are registered in the Province. The detail is as under:

Estimated percentage of mal-nutrition kids under the age of 5 and 12 years old and youth between the age of 10 to 18 years in the province?

            According to National Nutrition Survey (NNS) – 2001, the results for Sindh Province are as follows:

Children under five years of age:

·         45.5% are stunted

·         41.3% are underweight

·         23.3% are wasted

Adolescent (girls & boys aged 10 to 19 years):

·         16.6% girls and 30.6% boys are underweight

·         61.2% adolescent girls and 45.3% women of reproductive age are anemic

Amount earmarked during 2018-19 under head of medicines alongwith amount spent up to December, 2018 (06 months) for Lyari General Hospital Karachi?

Number of ambulances are available at Government Hospital in Lyari General Hospital Karachi as on 01-10-2018?

Five (05) ambulances are available at Sindh Government Lyari General Hospital Karachi as on 01.10.2018.

1643.   *Khuwaja Izhar-ul-Hassan: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Number of Government hospitals working under public private partnership in the Province along with their volume of budget allotted by Government?

ANSWER

Total 160 Government health facilities of the Province are managed by 05 NGOs under public private partnership. The budget allocated by Government along with number of health facilities to each NGO is mentioned as under:

(a)   Is it a fact that health facilities are not being provided to people in Taluka Hospital  Naushero Feroz and people have protested against non-serious attitude of government;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, steps taken after such protest?

a)                No. it is not a fact.

b)               The Health facility Taluka (Civil Hospital) Naushahro feroze provided following health facilities to the patients of the catchment areas as under:

*         X-Ray Department

*         Gynae / Obs: / OPD/Ward

2116.   *Ms. Rana Ansar:     Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)         Number of Hepatitis A, B and C patients reported in the province particularly in district Khairpur during 2016-2018;

(b)         Is it a fact that they were provided treatment at each BHU, Taluka hospital and dispensary in district Khairpur;

(c)          If answer to (b) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

(a)    Since Hepatitis “A” is a self-limiting disease, hence, it is not included in the list of notifiable diseases, therefore its data is not maintained. However, the number of Hepatitis “B” & “C” patients reported / registered in the Province, particularly in District Khairpur during 2016-2018 are as under:-

b) No, it is not a fact. Such patients are not dealt at the level of BHUs and dispensaries. However, the department has established hepatic sentinel sites in the province where such patients are screened, registered, vaccinated and treated.      

c)   The number of Hepatitis “B” & “C” patients treated at hepatic sentinel sites of District Khairpur are as under:  

1.    Khairpur Medical College Hospital, Khairpur.

2.      Rural Health Center Thari Mirwah.

2579.   *Mr. Shahzad Qureshi:        Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that all over the world child and infant mortality has come down but in Sindh it has gone up. Infant mortality from 74 to 82 per 1000 live birth. Under five years child mortality from 89 to 104 per 1000 deaths which is deplorable and shameful;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

(a)                   No, it is not a fact.

     In fact as per Pakistan Demographic Health Survey (PDHS) the infant and under 5 mortality has been reduced as under:
