ARSALAN TAJ HUSSAIN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement regarding why there is a double standard by KW&SB in maintaining water supply and sewerage services. In an official memorandum vide KW&SB/DMD/HRD&A/208 dated 26-08-2019, the Competent Authority of the authority of KW&SB had directed to take over Water Supply & Sewerage Services from DMC (East) for some specific areas only.



2.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 61 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED IMRAN ALI SHAH, MPA: Would the Honourable Minister of Wildlife please answer to the fact that 1,200 Kg of meat of turtles and Pangolins were stolen from the Karachi Wildlife Office. The estimated price was valued at Rs.2 million. I would like to enquire that 10 months have lapsed and has there been any progress/recovery.


3.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 59 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY DR. SANJAY GANGWANI, MPA: It has been reported that 30 ventilators of total 104 have been out of order for several years at Dr. Ruth Pfau Civil Hospital. Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement on this serious matter.


4.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 58 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. NAND KUMAR GOKLANI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that Sunil Kumar S/o Gotam Hindu Mehshwari resident of Chachro Town Tharparkar was suffering from Congo Crimean fever and was admitted in Agha Khan Hospital Karachi in the first week of November 2019, who was expired last night in the Hospital, if so it is requested that screening process of his family members and those who were in-contact of the disease may be carried out so that threat of spreading of epidemic disease should be finished.


5.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 57 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD RIAZ HAIDER, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Supply and Prices be pleased to state that why the Government fails in regulating Price Control, especially for the essential food items. People of Karachi continuously being charged over priced and no Authority seems in action, food, milk, vegetables, fruits etc, all are being sold at two to three times high prices.

Estimated percentage of mal-nutrition kids under the age of 5 and 12 years old and youth between the age of 10 to 18 years in the province?

            According to National Nutrition Survey (NNS) – 2001, the results for Sindh Province are as follows:

Children under five years of age:

·         45.5% are stunted

·         41.3% are underweight

·         23.3% are wasted

Adolescent (girls & boys aged 10 to 19 years):

·         16.6% girls and 30.6% boys are underweight

·         61.2% adolescent girls and 45.3% women of reproductive age are anemic

b) No, it is not a fact. Such patients are not dealt at the level of BHUs and dispensaries. However, the department has established hepatic sentinel sites in the province where such patients are screened, registered, vaccinated and treated.
