715.     *Mr. Khurram Sher Zaman:           Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

 

(a)    Is it a fact that Sanghar Civil Hospital has no civil Surgeon for last four months and there are around 84 posts of medical officers out of same 50 are vacant;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

 

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

 

a)      No, it is not a fact. The present Civil Surgeon, Civil Hospital, Sanghar (Dr. Muhammad Akbar Kumbhar) is working there from 18-04-2018 till date 27-08-2019.

 

It is also not a fact that 50 posts of Medical Officers are vacant. In fact there are 30 sanctioned posts of Medical Officer / Women Medical Officer and all are filled.

b)      Not applicable

 

1312.   *Ms. Rana Ansar:     Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

 

(a)    Is it a fact that every year 2.5% people suffer from hepatitis B and 4.9% of total population suffer from hepatitis C in the province;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, steps taken to curb the menace?

 

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

a)      Yes, it is a fact that as per Pakistan Medical and Research Council’s (PMRC) last survey conducted in the year 2007-08 around 3.0 million Hepatitis carrier are in Sindh (Hep-B 2.5 % & Hep-C 4.9%).

       

b)      STEPS:

 

i)          In order to curb the menace of Hepatitis burden, the government launched a program namely “Hepatitis Prevention & Control Program (Chief Minister’s Initiative) Sindh”.

 

ii)        61 hepatic sentinel sites and 17 screening & vaccination centres, with placement of staff, have been established at teaching hospitals / institutes / DHQs / THQHs and RHCs where population is being screened, diagnosed, vaccinated and treated for Hepatitis (B,C&D).

 

iii)      04 PCR molecular labs have also been established for doing free of cost confirmatory tests for Hep-B, C &D

 

 

 

1456.   *Mr. Kanwar Naveed Jamil:           Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

 

(a)    Is it a fact that chemicals, blood bag and kits are not available in laboratory of Trauma center of Peoples Medical Hospital Nawabshah;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, steps taken by the Government in this regard?

 

ANSWER

a). No it is not a fact. The Chemicals, blood bags and kits are available in laboratory of Trauma Center of People’s Medical College Hospital, Nawabshah, Shaheed Benazirabad.

1489.   *Syed Abdul Rasheed:         Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

 

Amount allocated during 2018-19 for Lyari General Hospital under the head of machinery & equipment alongwith amount spent up to December, 2018 and detail of machinery purchased?

 

ANSWER

Under the head of Machinery & Equipment no allocation has been made during the current financial year i.e 2018-19, hence the requisite reply may be treated as NIL.

 

 

1815.   *Dr. Muhammad Rafique Banbhan:          Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

 

Number of cases of hepatitis ‘C’ registered at BHUs with their names in Taluka Faiz Gunj during January 2016 to June 2018?

 

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

 

The Health Department, Government of Sindh has established District wise ‘Hepatic Sentinel Sites’ in the Province where patient of Hepatitis are screened, diagnosed, vaccinated and treated.

 The patients of Hepatitis in district Khairpur are managed at following Hepatic Sentinel Sites:

i.                    Khairpur Medical College Hospital, Khairpur.

ii.                  RHC Thari Mirwah.

iii.                Taluka Hospital, Kot Digi

            The patients of Taluka Faiz Ganj are treated at Hepatic Sentinel Site KMC Hospital, Khairpur. From January 2016 to June 2018 such 108 patients have complete their treatment.

 

 

 

 

1820.   *Dr. Muhammad Rafique Banbhan:          Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

 

Number of cases of Hepatitis ‘B’ and ‘C’ detected/registered in each BHU of District Shikarpur during January 2016 to August, 2018 including number of patients provided treatment by government its own?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

The Health Department, Government of Sindh has established District wise ‘Hepatic Sentinel Sites’ in the Province where patient of Hepatitis are screened, diagnosed, vaccinated and treated.

The patients of Hepatitis in district Shikarpur are managed at Hepatic Sentinel Site, RBUT Hospital, Shikarpur where patients from different Health Centres (including BHUs of district Shikarpur) are referred.
