(a) Is it a fact that the Government is considering a policy to reward those parents having two or fewer children;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?
ANSWER
DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR POPULATION WELFARE:
No. The Government is not considering any such policy.
696. *Mr. Khurrum Sher Zaman: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that Chandka Medical College Hospital has been facing serious shortage of medicines since last five months forcing poor patients to buy drugs from open market;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?
ANSWER
DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:
a) No, it is not a fact. There is no shortage of medicines at Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana. The Hospital is providing all required medicines to all patients and no patient is being forced to buy drugs from the open market.
b) Not applicable
705. *Mr. Khurrum Sher Zaman: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that X-ray, ultrasound machines and most of ambulances heavy generators are not functional in Civil Hospital Kandhkot;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?
ANSWER
DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:
a). No, it is not a fact. X-ray, Ultrasound machines and ambulances, heavy generator (for casualty) are functional at Civil Hospital, Kandhkot.
b) Not applicable.

Number of Trauma Centers in the province alongwith number of functional out of them?
ANSWER
DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:
There are 49 Trauma Centers in the Province. Out of these 34 are-functional.

Number of cyber units existing in the province alongwith number of patients currently being treated therein?

In the province of Sindh the cyber unit exists only at Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center, Karachi.
During current year 109 patients have been treated till March, 2019.

(a) Is it a fact that Polio cases reported in Karachi during the period of January, 2017 to October, 2018?
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof along with steps taken in this regard?
ANSWER
DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:
a) Yes, it is a fact.
b) The Detail along with steps taken is as under:
Polio Case
=: In 2017, two (2) Polio cases were reported from Gadap town (UC-4) and from Gulshan Town (UC-13), Karachi. Whereas, in 2018 One (1) Polio case was reported from Gadap Town, Karachi.
Steps
=: Comprehensive vaccination against Polio through four National Immunization Days (NIDs), five Sub-National Immunization Days (SNIDs) and special vaccinations are being conducted yearly.
=: The main focus is given to achieve 95% coverage, refusal conversion activities, Mop-up activities among high Risk & Mobile Population,
=: Coverage of guest children from FATA, KPK, Afghanistan & other areas of Pakistan come to the Province of Sindh to stop all wild polio virus transmission in the province.
=: Vaccination among Schools/Madarsas students along with Households targeted is being done in every campaign.
