• a)    Started participating in gross root political activities during 1981. Took an active part in the Movement for Restoration of Democracy (MRD).
• b)    Elected with thumping majority as Member of Provincial Assembly of Sindh from PS-35, Hyderabad-I, during General Election 1997 on the Pakistan Peoples Party ticket and played an active and vital role in the Opposition Benches. After the dissolution of the said Assembly, participated at all levels for the restoration of Peoples Democratic Rights.
• c)    Once again, P.P.P ticket of Provincial Assembly from PS-43, Hyderabad-I during General Election 2002 was awarded and secured 55692 votes as against 2160 of Opponent. It was the highest number of votes secured by any member in Provincial Assembly of Sindh.
