Subject:    RESOLUTION.

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Monday, the 13th June, 2022 has passed unanimously the following Resolution moved by Mr. Ghulam Qadir Chandio, MPA/Chairman, Public Accounts Committee, Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Syed Sardar Ali Shah, MPA/Minister for Culture, Tourism & Antiquities, Archives & Education Department, Syeda Shehla Raza, MPA/Minister for Women Development, Sindh, Dr. Sohrab Khan Sarki, MPA, Ms. Kulsoom Akhtar Chandio, MPA, Dr. Lal Chand Ukrani, MPA, Ms. Shaheena, MPA, Ms. Farhat Seemen, MPA and Ms. Sharmila Sahebah Farooqi, MPA:

This House express deep sorrow and grief over the passing of Senior Politician and Parliamentarian, Senator Dr. Sikandar Mendhro. Dr. Sahab remained a dedicated politician and one of the founding member of Pakistan Peoples Party. He accompanied Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto during his struggle for the democracy and rule of law in Pakistan. He remained strongly associated with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto Sahiba, former President Mr. Asif Ali Zardari Sahab and Chairman, Pakistan Peoples Party Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Sahab. He stood tall against the worst form of political victimization of Pakistan Peoples Party workers and leadership during Martial Law Regime and remained in exile for ten years. Throughout his political career, he rendered invaluable services to the people of his Constituency through his political acumen and wisdom. His services to the restoration of democracy in Pakistan shall outshine the likes of him throughout the times to come. He remained President Pakistan Peoples Party District Badin from 1990 to 2013 and Member, Provincial Assembly of Sindh for five times. He also served as Minister for Health, Parliamentary Affairs and Zakat and Ushr Departments respectively. His role in the Legislation remained unmatched. He was well versed with the problems of District Badin and took strongly proactive part in the movement against the construction of Kalabagh Dam.

The House pays him rich tribute for the services he rendered for the peoples of his Constituency, the people of Sindh and Pakistan.
