Subject:      RESOLUTION.

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Friday, the 06th August, 2021 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Mr. Ghanwar Ali Khan Isran, MPA/ Parliamentary Secretary for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Criminal Prosecution, Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation, Narcotics, Food and Parliamentary Affairs, Ms. Sadia Javed, MPA, Mr. Muhammad Hussain Khan MPA, Mr. Bilal Ahmed MPA, and Mr. Hasnain Ali Mirza, MPA:

 

RESOLUTION MOVED BY MR. GHANWAR ALI KHAN ISRAN, MPA/PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY FOR LAW, PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS AND CRIMINAL PROSECUTION:

 

This House reiterates its unanimous resolve to establish, uphold and preserve the rights of the people of Indian Occupied Kashmir to self determination and independence on the day marking the illegal, unconstitutional and forced annexation of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir through the use of blatant force and impunity.

 

The House-

Expresses solidarity with the people of Indian occupied Jammu and Kashmir who are subject to the brutal show of violence, illegal detention media blackouts and worst form of humanitarian crisis;


Demands the immediate withdrawal of occupying forces from the occupied territory of Jammu and Kashmir and the establishment of civil order within the occupied territory;


Seeks attention of the international community towards the violations of human rights, abductions and rape cases in which the scores of women and children are being subjected;


Draws attention to the implementation of the United Nations Security Council Resolution which offer the people of Kashmir an option to decide their fate through a free and fair plebiscite;


Reaffirms our disregard for the abrogation of Article 370 and 35-A of the Indian Constitution which offer special status to the territory of Jammu and Kashmir;


Recognizes the sacrifices of brave and valiant sons and daughters of Kashmir who have laid their lives for the independence, dignity and glory of Kashmir;


Reaffirms that Jammu & Kashmir remains as unfinished agenda of partition and an internationally recognized dispute that continues to be on UN Agenda since 1948;


Rejects grant of citizenship to the people belonging to the states/ provinces which is a blatant violation of UN Security Council Resolutions and an attempt to bring about demographic changes into the occupied territory of Kashmir;


Expresses on part of the people of Sindh our complete resolve for the resolution of Kashmir dispute and the implementation of the UN Resolution as per the aspirations of the people of Kashmir.

 

This House demands the Federal Government through this resolution to expedite the efforts at national, regional and global forums to make the miseries of innocent Kashmiris felt and the speedy resolution of the Kashmir issue ensured.

 

RESOLUTION MOVED BY MR. MUHAMMAD HUSSAIN KHAN, MPA, MR. BILAL AHMED, MPA AND MR. HASNAIN ALI MIRZA, MPA:

 

The House unanimously condemns India’s illegal and unilateral actions of August 5, 2019 and subsequent measures particularly pertaining to domicile rules and the land ownership laws are aimed at changing the demographic structure of Indian Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and converting the Kashmiris into a minority in their own land, these measures are blatant violations of international law, including the UN Charter, the United Nations Security Council resolutions, and the 4th Geneva Convention.

 

Pakistani Nation expresses solidarity with people of Kashmir on Youm-e-Istehsal, 5th August and supports the resolve of our Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

 

The Prime Minister called upon the international community, including the United Nations, human rights organizations and the global media, to hold the India accountable for its crimes against the Kashmiri people. Pakistan will continue to extend all possible assistance to Kashmiris till the realization of their inalienable right to self-determination and a just resolution of the Jammu and Kashmir dispute, in accordance with the relevant United Nations Security Councils’ resolutions and the wishes of the Kashmiri people.
