RESOLUTION MOVED BY MS. NUSRAT BANO SEHER ABBASI, MPA
.
“This Assembly expresses deep grief and sorrow over the massive earthquake of 7.7 magnitude all over Pakistan on afternoon of Tuesday, the 24th September, 2013 and especially in AWARAN and several other districts of Balochistan which has caused huge human as well as property loss.”

RESOLUTION MOVED BY DR. SIKANDER MANDHRO, MINISTER FOR PARLIAMENTARY AFFAIRS, SINDH.
“This House expresses its deepest sympathies and condolence over the loss of precious lives in the earthquake that hit Balochistan on Tuesday evening killing 237 and injuring several hundred people. We pray for the ones who lost their lives and may Allah give their families the patience to bear this bitter truth. Most affected earthquake areas is AWARAN, Khuzdar with over 90% of the villages have been destroyed. This House urges to the Federal Government to facilitate the victims and extend as much support as possible for their rehabilitation. This House also appeals to the civil society, Philanthropists and charity organizations to come forward and contribute generously in this noble cause of humanitarian rescue and rehabilitation operations. It is the time we stand together with our brothers and sisters of Balochistan.”

RESOLUTION MOVED BY MS. RUBINA SAADAT QAIMKHANI, MINISTER FOR WOMEN DEVELOPMENT, SINDH.
“This Assembly resolves that the valued Member of the Cabinet, Members of the Sindh Assembly and people of the Province of Sindh on the powerful earthquake jolts in Balochistan, wherein more than 217 died, hundreds of people injured and thousands houses are collapsed. It has also been observed that these jolts spread in some areas of Sindh Province. I appeal the Honourable Prime Minister of Islamic Republic of Pakistan may like to curtail his visit and return back to country to personally visit and monitor rescue activities of earthquake’s victims in Balohistan. After one day has lapsed but no visible efforts have so far been carried out by the Balchistan Government. However, Sindh Government has already offered assistance on humanitarian grounds. We have all sympathies with the demised souls and their families with whom Sindh Cabinet valued Members and people of the Province of Sindh are standing on this hard time, May Almighty Allah put them in heaven with blessings. We also pray for the injured for their health that Almighty Allah shall bless them. AAMEEN.”
