Subject: RESOLUTION.
I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 22nd November, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, MPA/ Leader of Opposition, Provincial Assembly of Sindh:-
“The people of Karachi are already severely suffering from over billing and unannounced load shedding for many years. K-Electric has also failed to enhance its generation capacity to meet the demand of the people of Karachi, as promised.
K-Electric now requesting NEPRA to further revise the tariff and other taxes for consumers in Karachi who are already paying hefty amount of unjustified bills.
It is, therefore, resolved that this House demand Provincial Government to approach Federal Government for directing NEPRA not to increase any type of electric tariff or taxes for the consumers in Karachi by K-Electric.”.
