I am directed to state that Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Wednesday, the 21st December, 2011 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Ms. Shazia Atta Muhammad Marri, Minister for Information, Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, Minister for Finance, Sindh, Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Sindh and Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, Minister for Revenue, Sindh:-

 

“This Assembly recognizes the consistent efforts of Malala Yousufzai towards promoting education for girls and peace in Swat; appreciates the zeal and extraordinary passion of the young 14 year old Pakistani girl, who fearlessly fought against the Taliban opposition to female education and became a beacon for young people across the Nation; felicitates Malala and her family on her nomination for the International Children’s Peace Prize 2011; and congratulates them on her being awarded the first National Peace Award by the  Honurable Prime Minister of Pakistan. Malala has brought us immense pride through her courageous stand in the face of tyranny.”
