I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Friday, the 29th January, 2010 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Ms. Sassui Palijo, Minister for Culture, Sindh, Mr. Anwar Ahmed Khan Mahar, MPA, Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Sindh, Syed Sardar Ahmed, Minister to Government of Sindh and Jam Madad Ali Khan, Leader of Opposition, Provincial Assembly of Sindh:-
“This Assembly resolves to pay glowing tributes to Sindh’s Great Sufi Poet Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai on his 266th Urs Mubarak. On this Occasion we must understand Latif’s Message of Peace, Love, Tolerance, Equality, Struggle and Patriotism. Hazrat Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai professed “Sufism” and we all know that Sufism can fight against hatred, extremism and terrorism.”
