Subject: RESOLUTION.
I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Monday, the 19th October, 2009 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Mr. Muhammad Ayaz Soomro, Minister for Law & Parliamentary Affairs, Ms. Shazia Atta Muhammad Marri, Minister for Information, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar, Minister for Revenue, Dr. Sikandar Ali Mandhro, MPA and Mrs. Shama Arif Mithani, MPA:-
“This Assembly recognizes the attack on the 18th October historic rally of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto as a National tragedy; mourns the irreparable loss of 176 lives at the hands of heinous criminals; salutes the courageous martyrs of democracy and those valiant soldiers who were injured during the rally welcoming Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto back to her beloved homeland; reiterates its pledge to bring to justice the perpetrators responsible for the tragedy of 18th October; and reaffirms its commitment to the democratic ideals for which Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto and her fearless followers unflinchingly sacrificed their lives.”
