Subject:      RESOLUTION.

 

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 21st April, 2009 has unanimously passed the following  Resolution moved by Ms. Naheed Begum, MPA:-

 

“All the international companies which have come in search of Oil and Gas, as per the PCA Petroleum Consortium Agreement are bound to spend one percent of their profit on the Welfare, Development and Social Activities of the concerned area people and to also to provide them an employment. It has been observed that such agreement is not acted upon in this in its true spirit, therefore, this Assembly recommends to the Provincial Government to approach the Federal Government that these companies must be bound to spend at least one percent of their profit on the Welfare, Development and Social Activities of the concerned area people and to also provide them employment.”
