Sub:Luke worm response of Sindh Government Departments/Offices regarding PAC meetings on the Audit Reports 2004-05 & 2005-06.
Dear Sir,
1.This is for the kind information of your good self that despite repeated directives of your honour and several letters of this office to hold pre-PACs / verifications the response of departments of the Sindh Government is quite slow and below the required standards. It is also to bring into your kind notice that these departments will approach this office for the said purpose only when very short period of time will be left for the PAC meetings of the respective departments itself. In these circumstances it will not be possible for us to fulfill all required formalities timely, besides the quality of work is also compromised. As your kind honour is well aware that this office is working day and night to assist the honourable committee despite constraints in terms of time and human resources. Our objective is to provide qualitative and efficient services to your august body.
2.You are therefore earnestly requested to issue necessary directives in this regard so that response period and level by the departments may be enhanced / improved.
3.It is also to bring into your kind notice that the resolve, commitment and working of this PAC are highly appreciative and commendable. It is the credit of this PAC to have completed one Audit Report (2004-05) in such a short period. This will be a bench mark in improving the financial controls and sense of accountability among the Government departments.
