Subject:     RESOLUTION

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Wednesday, the 21st October, 2020 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Dr. Sohrab Khan Sarki, MPA:

The Provincial Assembly of Sindh, pays glowing tribute to the policemen of Sindh who have rendered great sacrifices for restoring peace and maintaining law & order in Sindh Province.

This House expresses serious concern and reservation over the unfortunate incident that took place on the night of 18th October 2020 and demand that the investigation announced by the Government of Sindh and the Chief of Army Staff, would be brought to its logical end and all those responsible would be identified and subsequently penalised.

In wake of the unfortunate incident that took place on the night of 18th October 2020, dozens of senior police officers including the I.G. Sindh, having felt demoralized, had decided to go on leave. However, due to the timely efforts of Chairman Pakistan Peoples Party, Mr. Bilawal Bhutto Zardari and the Chief Minister of Sindh, Mr. Murad Ali Shah, the Province was saved from a major administrative crisis.

This Assembly assures full support not only to the Police Officers but to all ranks of the Sindh Police.
