As advised by the Chief Minister and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under clause (1) of Article-112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 and other provisions enabling me in this behalf, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh, hereby dissolve the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on 11th day of August, 2023 at 9:00 p.m.

Subject:        RESOLUTION.

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 27th August, 2019 has passed the following Resolution moved by Dr. Seema Zia, MPA:

 

Whereas, over 20 people lost their lives during recent rains in Karachi and several got injured because of negligence of K-Electric of leaving open cables exposed and that victim’s families deserve compensation for their losses.

 

This House demands that K-Electric pay cash compensation of Rs. (05) million per victim. The time has come for K-Electric to show remorse, admit guilt and do the right thing by giving proper compensation to the ones who have got injured and to the ones who lost their lives.

 

This House urges NEPRA to facilitate the families of the victims in receiving compensation from K-Electric.
