As advised by the Chief Minister and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under clause (1) of Article-112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 and other provisions enabling me in this behalf, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh, hereby dissolve the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on 11th day of August, 2023 at 9:00 p.m.

“This House condemns the attempts of Federal Government to remove the picture of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto, twice elected former Prime Minister of Pakistan and First Women Prime Minister of Muslim World from the official logo of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP) and renaming the Islamabad Airport from Benazir Bhutto International Airport to Islamabad International Airport.

 

These things were attributed with the name of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto by the Nation in recognition of her services, struggle and sacrifices for the prosperity, welfare and development of the Nation and the Democracy.

 

The Assembly resolves and recommends to the Government of Sindh to approach Federal Government to refrain from taking such steps and take back the said decisions.”.
