In pursuance of Article 107 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, the Provincial Assembly of Sindh shall stand dissolved on the expiration of its term of five years on the 28th May, 2018.

Schedule for Election of Chief Minister

            Provincial Assembly of Sindh,

Karachi.

 

Sub:     SCHEDULE FOR ELECTION OF CHIEF MINISTER.

I am to state that the Honourable Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh has been pleased to announce the Schedule for Election of Chief Minister as follows:

 

Honourable Members of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh are to be informed that-

(a)         Any Member may propose or second the name of any other member to be the Chief Minister.

 

(b)        Nomination papers for the office of Chief Minister can be obtained from the office of the Secretary, Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 09:00 A.M. to 04:00 P.M. on Thursday, the 28th July, 2016.

 

(c)         On Thursday, the 28th July, 2016, after filling the nomination papers the same will be delivered by the candidate or his proposer or seconder to the Secretary, Provincial Assembly of Sindh upto 05:00 P.M.

 

(d)        On Thursday, the 28th July, 2016, at 06.00 P.M. the scrutiny of the nomination papers will be held in the office of the Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh.

 

(e)         List of valid nomination papers will be affixed on Notice Board of the Assembly Secretariat at 07.00 P.M. on same day.

 

(f)         On Friday, the 29th July, 2016, at 03.00 P.M. the Election of the Chief Minister and announcement of successful candidate.
