                             Islamabad.

                       

 

 

Subject:      RESOLUTION.

 

I am to state that the Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Monday, the 12th October, 2009 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Dr. Sikanadar Ali Mandhro, MPA:-

 

 

“Indus River System Authority is holding its meeting for distribution of water for current Rabi Season on 13th October, 2009.

 

The Sindh Assembly recommends to the Government of Sindh to approach the Federal Government to direct IRSA to distribute water strictly in accordance with Water Accord of 1991 i.e

 

(i) Shortages (if any) shall be with reference to  para 2 allocation of the Accord.

 

(ii) Shortages shall be shared on all basis in accordance with the 10 daily statements which are part and parcel of the 1991 Water Accord.”
