The Number of registration of Cars and Motorcycles vary from time to time, however, average number of vehicles registered per day are as under:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Rickshaws and Taxis registered in District Karachi during 2017-18;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the detail thereof including amount collected?

(a)    Yes, only Rickshaws were registered in Karachi during 2017-18, and no Taxies were registered during the said period.

(a)   Is it a fact that no any single number plate has been issued for last 10 years by Excise and Taxation office Hyderabad ;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative the reasons thereof?

Answer to (a) is in negation.

 

The Transport Department, Government of Sindh vide Notification No. SO(T-II)2-17/2010/(PT-II), dated: 20th April, 2013, (is at Annexure placed on the Table of   the House) allocated uniform registration mark of registration of commercial and non-commercial vehicles throughout the Province of Sindh, since, the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has started registration of 4 wheeler vehicles, commercial / non-commercial at Regional Headquarters level with unified series and number plates are being issued to the registered vehicles in the Province.    

 

 

 

 

 

 

4072.     *Mr. Kanwar Naveed Jamil:           Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

 

(a)   Is it a fact that 3500 to 5000 are being charged for making registration documents of motor-cycle by Director Excise Hyderabad whereas actual fee is 2700 ;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative action taken against officials robbing poor people? 

 

ANSWER

a)       Answer to (a) is in negation.

 As such the total amount of Registration fee starts for Registration of Motorcycle, is as under:

1.     For China Motorcycle, 70 cc Rs. 3,200/-

2.     For Honda Motorcycle, 70 cc Rs. 3,500/-

3.     For Honda Motorcycle, 125 cc Rs. 4,000/-

(b)     Hence in question actual fee Rs. 2,700/- mentioned is not true.
