SYED SARDAR ALI SHAH, MINISTER FOR COLLEGE EDUCATION:

The Hijart Colony College is under the umbrella scheme ADP Scheme No. 294 (where 23 Colleges are to be established in the Province). The entire college is nearly for completion phase, however a portion has been made functional besides office of the Principal to initiate academic activities. The Principal has been posted.

(a)   Yes. It is a fact.

(b)   The Principal of Maryam Mukhtar Girls College has taken following steps for the betterment of college:

 

1.      Functionalized the College Library, Computer Lab and Science Laboratory.

2.      Provided Water Dispensers for Students and Staff.

3.      Conducted English Classes and Carrier Counseling.

4.      Affiliated the College with Board of Intermediate Education Karachi for the session 2018-19.

5.      Conducted Seminars, Lectures, Quiz Competition and Organized Student’s Week with all Healthy (Sports) Activities.

a)        Yes, it is a fact.

b)        The Government allocated funds for printing and publishing. During Financial Year 2018-19,  Rs. 25,603,000/= was allocated while in 2019-2020, Government has allocated Rs. 26,656,000/=. The details of budget allocated for printing and publishing are present in Budget Book for all colleges of Sindh.

Moreover, an amount of Rs. 30/= for magazine and Rs. 40/= for SWF (Student Welfare Fund) are being collected from each graduate student. On accumulation of such amount the college Principals publish their magazine and student weeks are organized by the Principal from Student Welfare Fund through College Management Committee (CMC).
