248.     *Ms. Nusrat Sehar Abbasi:  Will the Minister for Auqf, Zakat & Ushr be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it fact that a project costruction of lavatory block at Dargha Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai district Matiari with  cost of Rs. 5.000 million is to be completed by June 2019 ;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, details of work completed and amount spent to date?

 

ANSWER

 

MS. HEER SOHO, PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY, FOR AUQAF, ZAKAT & USHR:

The scheme “construction of lavatory blocks at Dargah Shah Abdul Latif Bhittai at Bhitshah District Matiari ADP No. 47” of 2018-19 approved cost of Rs. 5.000 million has been completed in June 2019.

The details of work completed are as under:-

                          i.   Construction of lavatory blocks.

                        ii.   Marble work.

                      iii.   Repair works of Dargah site and fixing of neels.

 

The scheme completed with a cost of Rs. 4.627 million upto June 2019.

 

 

249.     *Ms. Nusrat Sehar Abbasi:  Will the Minister for Auqf, Zakat & Ushr be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it fact that a project construction of  a Musafir khana at (Hala) Matiari with cost of Rs. 48.000 million is to be completed by June 2019;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, details of work completed and amount spent to date?

 

ANSWER

 

MS. HEER SOHO, PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY, FOR AUQAF, ZAKAT & USHR:

The scheme was included in the ADP 2017-18 with an estimated cost of Rs. 48.000 (M) and allocation of Rs. 12.000 (M). The scheme was approved subject to condition to submit modified PC-I in light of observation by DDWP forum by the executing agency but due to non-submission of modified PC-I the administrative approval (AA) was not issued, therefore no funds were released by the Finance Department and to executing agency for the scheme.

As per policy no new schemes of Auqaf Sector were included in ADP 2018-19, therefore, the scheme was phased out and not appear in ADP 2018-19.

 

251.     *Ms. Nusrat Sehar Abbasi:  Will the Minister for Auqf, Zakat & Ushr be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that a Project of construction of Musafirkhana and allied facilities at dargah Shaheed Dodo Soomro (Rupamari) taluka and district Badin with cost of Rs. 38.000 million is to be completed by June, 2019;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, details of work completed and amount spent to date?

The scheme “Construction of Musafirkhana & allied facilities at Dargah Shaheed Dodo Soomro (Rupamari) Taluka & District Badin ADP No.43” is ongoing scheme of 2019-20 with an approved cost of Rs. 39.195 million, a sum of Rs. 6.895 million was incurred upto June 2019. The scheme was not completed by June 2019.

 

3576.   *Ms. Rana Ansar:     Will the Minister for Auqf, Zakat & Ushr be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that some buildings of the department in District Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas have been declared un-safe;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reason thereof as well as steps taken in this regard?

MS. HEER SOHO, PARLIAMENTARY SECRETARY, FOR AUQAF, ZAKAT & USHR:

Chief Administrator Auqaf Sindh, Hyderabad has reported that no any unsafe building in the Jurisdiction of Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas Division.

But the Deputy Administrator Zakat Mirpurkhas Division has reported that the office of the District Zakat & Ushr Committee, Mirpurkhas is located in Government building is old constructed in 1940. The condition of building is very poor rusted salinated and cracked.

 

 

3577.   *Ms. Rana Ansar:     Will the Minister for Auqf, Zakat & Ushr be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Zakat funds distributed among madrassahs in the province during 2017;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, district-wise detail thereof including criteria followed?

CRITERIA

The criteria of disbursement / utilization of Zakat funds is defined in Sub-Section (a) of Section-8 of Sindh Zakat & Ushr Act, 2011 is reproduced below:

(a)        assistance to the needy, the indigent and the poor particularly orphans and widows, the handicapped and the disabled, eligible to receive Zakat under Shariah for their subsistence or rehabilitation, either directly or indirectly through deeni madaris or educational, vocational or social institutions, public hospitals, charitable institutions and other institution providing health care:

Provided that the lists of the individuals to be assisted directly and of the institutions through which assistance is to be given from a Zakat Fund shall be prepared and maintained in such form and manner as may be prescribed;

            Head-wise amount of Zakat distributed on district level during 2017 to 2018?
