What steps are being taken by the Government of Sindh in this regard?

RABISTAN KHAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that there is severe sewerage issue in my PS-122 areas LEREP, Khuda Ki Basti etc; What steps are taken by the Government?

03- CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 14 OF 2021;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. ARSALAN TAJ HUSSAIN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that why youth complex in Gulistan-e-Jauhar is not completed in time?

RANA ANSAR, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Education, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that promoting education in the local language can be extremely helpful. It will be of great benefit; whether Government of Sindh formulating any policy in this regard?                  

05- CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 11 OF 2021;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. RABIA KHATOON, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that problems faced by the people due to the destruction of roads in Karachi City and resulting severe traffic jams. What steps are being taken by the Government in this regard?

SALMAN CATEGORICALLY DENIED THE MOVER’S REQUEST TO MEET HIS PARTY WORKERS.

03- The Control of Narcotics Substance (Sindh Amendment) Bill, 2021.

04- The Sindh Water Management (Amendment) Bill, 2018.

1256.     *Ms. Ghazala Siyal:  Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

Number/names of vehicles registered in the province during 30-06-2017 to 30-06-2018?

Number/names of vehicles registered in the Province of Sindh during 30.06.2017 to 30.06.2018 are as under:-

1597.     *Ms. Sadia Javed:     Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Whether government have any plans to establish registration Counters in different showrooms;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control:

No, Government of Sindh has no plans to establish registration counters in different showrooms.

1728.     *Ms. Rana Ansar:     Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

Number of hotels in the province paying taxes along with the category of tax imposed on them as well as the amount collected under the head of hotel tax during June, 2017 to December, 2018?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control:

The Bed Tax on hotels was used to be collected by the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department, which was abolished vide Sindh Finance Act dated 16^th July, 2013 Copy is at Annexure placed on the Table of the House. Hence, this tax is no longer being collected by the Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department.

2069.     *Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi:      Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that the department now has a complete record of Sindh Government vehicles;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, list of the same?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control:

a.       Yes, it is a fact that the record of all the Government Vehicles registered with Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department is fully computerized and available.

b.      The data of all the Government of Sindh Vehicles (Total No: 11623) is at Annexure placed on the Table of the House.

2305.     *Mr. Khurrum Sher Zaman:   Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

(a)     Is it a fact that the Department will consider removing infrastructure development cess on all LNG imports so that savings can be passed on to consumers;

(b)    If answer to (a) above is affirmative the detail thereof?           

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control:

No such proposal is under consideration of the Department. Infrastructure Cess is levied under the Sindh Development and Maintenance of Infrastructure Cess Act, 2017 and the Rules made there under. It is levied on all goods entering into the Province from outside the country through Sea or Air, on the prescribed rates.

2691.     *Ms. Tanzila Umm-e- Habiba:  Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that existing number plates are readable by the camera;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control:

No. It is not a fact.

Presently, Standardized Number Plates are being issued by the Department, which are not readable by cameras.

2826.     *Mr. Muhammad Aslam Abro:  Will the Minister for Excise & Taxation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that motor cycles, cars and buses registered in Jacobabad during 2016 to 2018;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof alongwith amount collected?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control:

Yes, Motorcycles were registered from 2016 to 2018 in Jacobabad. However no Car / Bus is registered in this period.
