(a)         Is it a fact that Chandka Medical College Hospital has no ambulance fitted with ventilator;

(b)         If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof? 

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

a.      No, it is not fact. One ambulance at Chandka Medical College Hospital, Larkana is fitted with ventilator.

b.       Not applicable.

 

1180.   *Syed Abdul Rasheed:         Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Number of patients registered in morning OPD in Lyari General Hospital on daily basis including facilities provided there in?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

The average number of patients registered in morning OPD in Lyari General Hospital, Karachi on daily basis is around 4500.        

 Following, free of cost, facilities are provided to the OPD patients:

1.      Consultancy Services

2.      Provision of Medicines

3.      Pathological Lab Services

4.      X-ray

5.      Ultrasound

6.      Day Care Services 

 

 

1368.   *Ms. Sidra Imran:     Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Whether there is any life insurance scheme for lady health workers working in the province;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is in affirmative, the details thereof?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

a)      There exists no such scheme. However, like other Government employees a fixed amount is being detected from salaries of lady health workers in lieu of their ‘Group Insurance’.

2348.   *Ms. Adeeba Hassan:           Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that ICU ward of  Civil Hospital, Tharparkar is closed due to non-availability of necessary staff and apparatus;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative the reasons thereof?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

No, it is not a fact. In fact the ICU ward at Civil Hospital, Mithi not established yet.

 

 

2474.   *Mr. Saeed Ahmed:  Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

Location-wise how many Sindh maternity homes functioning in district West Karachi along with details of medical/para medical staff posted/actually working at each as on 30-06-2018? 

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

No Maternity Home is functioning under Health Department, Government of Sindh in District West Karachi. However, the maternity services are being provided to the area by Health Department through RHC Shershah located at Keamari Town, district West, Karachi.

 

2479.   *Mr. Saeed Ahmed:  Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Hepatitis Control Program is facing financial crisis, laborites are closed for last 06 months and tests could not conduct due to non-availability of cash of PCR laboratories;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

No, it is not a fact. The total ADP allocation of the Hepatitis Prevention and Control Program (CM’s Initiative) for the year 2018-19 was Rs. 300.00 million and allocation for purchase of PCR kits and consumables was Rs. 13.687 million, out of which Rs. 8.553 million have been released. The tender for procurement of PCR kits for the year 2018-19 was carried out by Central Procurement committee of Health Department and following number of kits have been procured:-

The above PCR kits are readily available at PCR molecular labs of the province and tests are being performed.
