NAND KUMAR GOKLANI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Public Health Engineering, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that under ADP Scheme No.1857 a Water Supply Scheme from Bakhoro/ Mithrao Canal to Sanghar Water Supply Pumping Station 24” and Almansoorah Colony Nawab Shah Road, M. A. Jinnah Road 16” and 12” line Scheme 479 has not been completed as yet, when the same will be completed and the drainage Scheme No. 1945 Phase-IV is not completed and the time when it will be completed?

2.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 17 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED IMRAN ALI SHAH, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that “GTS” Garbage Transfer Station adjacent to Asghar Ali Shah Cricket Stadium-North Nazimabad in the midst of densely populated area which is a serious health hazard specifically when litter is set alight. Kindly consider transferring the GTS away from residential area?

3.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 20 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. ADEEBA HASSAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that there is shortage of Medicine in NICVD, Karachi if the answer is affirmative. Reasons please?

4.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 18 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD QASIM, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that the sewerage system of Baldia Town Karachi is deplored resulting severe hardships to the residents of the area; steps taken by the Government in this regard?

5.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 21 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED ABDUL RASHEED, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Education & Literacy, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that  condition of furniture and Science Laboratories of Primary and Secondary Schools of Karachi is bad specially Lyari; what steps taken by department to resolve this issue?

317.        *Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi:   Will the Minister for Public Health Engineering be pleased to state:-

The grade-wise number of people given jobs in the Department between July 1, 2017 and June 30, 2018 including those on contract and on regular basis?

ANSWER

Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani, Minister for Public Health Engineering:

                          i.      No person was appointed between 01.07.2017 to 30.06.2018 on contract and regular basis in Public Health Engineering Department, Sindh.

                        ii.      Only 84 officials were appointed on deceased quota basis between 01.07.2017 to 30.06,2018 duly approved by the Competent Authority i.e. Chief Secretary, Sindh. Detail is at Annexure-I & II Placed on the Table of the House.

362.     *Ms. Nusrat Sehar Abbasi:  Will the Minister for Public Health Engineering be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that a mega project of R.O Plants of Tharparkar was inaugurated in January, 2015 and said R.O plant is releasing saline water;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, current status and details thereof?

Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani, Minister for Public Health Engineering:

Yes, to the extent that the mega project of RO Plant Misri Shah, Mithi, Tharparkar was inaugurated in January-2015 but it is entirely incorrect and misleading to say that the said RO plant is providing saline water. The project is successfully treating the saline water and providing safe drinking water for the inhabitants of Mithi town.

980.     *Ms. Nusrat Sehar Abbasi:  Will the Minister for Public Health Engineering be pleased to state:-

(a)   Whether it is a fact that water supply and drainage schemes are in deplorable condition due to improper maintenance in all taluka of district Dadu;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the details thereof along with the measures taken in this regard?

ANSWER

Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani, Minister for Public Health Engineering:

The 86 Water Supply and Drainage Schemes in all Taluka of District Dadu are functional and smoothly running.  However remaining 77 Nos. Water Supply and Drainage Schemes are Non-Functional due to damages caused in heavy flood/Rain in 2010-11.  These schemes have been taken through Rehabilitation of Nonfunctional Water Supply and Drainage Scheme in Phase-I at the cost of Rs.5269.00 Million and Phase-II at the cost of Rs.4010.344 Million. Phase-I will be completed upto June, 2020. Details is at Annexure Placed on the Table of the House.

Location-wise number of water sewerage projects initiated in district Khairpur during 2017 to 2018 along with present position of the same?
