1.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 40 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. NUSRAT BANO SEHAR ABBASI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that 1733 candidates in EPI Health Department passed NTS Test for the post of Vaccinators but offer orders has not issued to them. If so, reasons thereof?

2.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 38 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. HALEEM ADIL SHEIKH, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for  Home, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that crime rate has intensely heightened in the SITE superhighway areas, with multiple lives lost in cases pertaining to theft and robberies. Even last night a 17 year kid named Sanauallah s/o Haji Akhtar was murdered in a robbery attempt and the Police has utterly failed to curb this. Can Home Minister explain these priorities?

3.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 39 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED ABDUL RASHEED, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that condition of dispensaries and maternity home working under the Local Government in Lyari is very bad, there is lack of medicine and paramedical staff resulting people of Lyari facing difficulties. What steps are by department to resolve these issues?

4.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 37 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. ABDUL RAZZAQUE, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Public Health Engineering, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it fact that numerous tube wells in Tharparkar are non-functional, resulting severe drinking water problem. What steps are taken by Government to fix the above issue?

5.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 36 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED HASHIM RAZA, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that when inauguration of the Medical College will be done constructed in Landhi and its structure has been completed for last two years. According to my information a Paramedical College is being established thereafter, changing the scheme which is injustice with Public of my Constituency, Government of Sindh may explain in this regard?

                   (a)    Is it a fact that vehicles with a black (commercial) plates are not allowed to be used for personal use;

(b)    If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, the reasons thereof?

The Vehicles with Black Commercial Plates are not allowed for personal purposes.

Quantity of charas recovered throughout Sindh during January 1, 2016 to August 31, 2018 alongwith the number of persons arrested?

The district-wise number of excisepolice station in Karachi including the staff and mobile vans provided to each is as under:-

(a)   Is it a fact that revenue from excise and taxation has not increased during 2018;

(b)   If answer to (a) is affirmative head-wise amount of tax collected?

ANSWER

It is fact that the revenue from Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department has been increased during Financial Year 2018. The head-wise / tax wise figures of collection is as under: -                  

1478.     *Mr. Omar Omari:    Will the Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics be pleased to state:-

(a)      Is it a fact that sale of narcotics is increasing day by day in Karachi specially in  district Central resulting lives of our youth at stake;

(b)     If answer to (a) above is affirmative steps taken to eradicate this menace?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation& Narcotics:

It is not a fact that Sale of Narcotics is increasing either in Karachi or in District Central.

The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department is vigilant in curbing the menace from the society to protect the lives of our youth. From 01^st January 2018, to 15^th April, 2019, 14 cases have been registered in District Central Karachi wherein 14 accused persons were arrested. Following quantity is recovered.

1.      Charas 6.700 Kilograms

2.      Foreign Liquor 84 Bottles

3.      Illicit Liquor 250 Bottles

4.      P.M.F.L 03 Bottles.

 Similarly, No. of cases registered from 01.01.2018 to 15.04.2019 in entire Karachi, following quantity recovered.

1.      89 Cases registered

2.      86 Persons arrested

3.      Charas 53-246 (Kg-gram)

4.      Herione 00-440 (250 Tokken)

5.      120 Bottles Foreign Liquor

6.      Illicit Liquor 685 Bottles, 1379 & 160 Kup

7.      P.M.F.L 03 Qts

 The Excise, Taxation & Narcotics Control Department is vigilant and committed to curb the menace of Narcotics from the jurisdiction of not only in District Central and Karachi but from the entire Sindh.

1602.     *Ms. Sadia Javed:      Will the Minister for Excise, Taxation & Narcotics be pleased to state:-

(a)    Whether we have any future plans for rehabilitation of Excise check posts;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

ANSWER

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Minister for Excise, Taxation& Narcotics:

The department do have plan (in near future) to rehabilitate Excise check posts. Infrastructure development As per the plan complete building is to be erected which house the office of the incharge of the check post, temporary lock up, strong room, rooms for staff, canteen and a Mosque.

Technological development As per the plan these check posts will be equipped with state of the art hand held scanners, giant trailer / truck scanners, moreover, connecting these check posts with the Regional Directorate / Head Quarter in Karachi through latest communication devices are the key targets to be achieved, Facilitating these check post with the mobile testing laboratories for real time, on the spot analysis of seized narcotics are the part of the plan.

Number of cases registered and people arrested in the pretext of drugs during last ten years?

 The number of cases registered and number of peoples arrested during last ten years w.e.f  2009–2010 to 31.05.2019 are as under:-
