160. *Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi: Will the Minister for Mines & Mineral Development be pleased to state:-
Reserved bid accepted for the rights to collect District-Wise royalty on certain minerals in the Province during 2018-19?
ANSWER
Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani,Minister for Mines & Mineral Development:
The auction for collection of royalty rights in the Districts Karachi (Excluding District Malir),Dadu/Jamshoro,Khairpur, Sukkur,Kambar at Shahdadkot and Thatta were advertised and the same were published in leading news papers Daily Dawn (English),Jung, Express(Urdu)and Kawish (Sindhi) on 14-8-2018 & 15-8-2018,on approved reserved prices by price fixation Committee and held on the following dates but except District Kamber Shahdad kot, no any bid was received against the reserved price. The parties/bidders contended that the Reserve price is high and submitted joint applications with the request that the reserved price for auctions for the current year 2018-19 should be fixed same as the reserved price of 2017-18.The details of the same are as under:

Moreover, the Directorate General Mines and Mineral Development has invited bids for Districts at Sr.No. 1 to 5 above for third time during the current year which are going to be open on 27 and 28 September.

Number of salt Mines in Thar and names of allottees including leased area as well as number, name and details of Salt Mines not leased or expired leases?
ANSWER

· It is to state that Mines and Mineral Development Department Government of Sindh have Granted, 81 Nos Mining Concessions for lake salt in Thar.
· Details are at Annexure placed on the Table of the House.
· The expired Leases, are 33 Nos in Thar

1319. *Ms. Rana Ansar: Will the Minister for Mines & Mineral Development be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that stone crushing is being done at Rohri bypass;
(b) If answer to(a) above is affirmative, whether the same is allowed by competent authority?
ANSWER
Mir Shabbir Ali Bijarani,Minister for Mines & Mineral Development:
(a) It is a fact that there were eight (8) crushing plants installed at Rohri By pass.
· Two (2) crushing plants are in working condition out of eight.
· Four (04) crushing plants are in working condition.
· Two (02) crushing plants have been removed.
· Details are at Annexure placed on the Table of the House.
(b) As regard, the matter concern with the crushing plants, it is to inform that crushing of stone is a mineral dressing process and this Department not competent to accord the permission for the crushing purpose/plant.
Further, Mines and Mineral Development Department Government of Sindh grants only mining rights in shape of mining concessions without ownership title of land under Sindh Mining Concession Rules-2002.
3034. *Mr. Munawar Ali Wasan: Will the Minister for Mines & Mineral Development be pleased to state:-
(a) Is it a fact that Cement Industries established in the Province from 2017 till to date;
(b)If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the detail thereof including production made and yearly revenue earned from them?

It is submitted that there are total eight (8) Cement Factories exit in Sindh Province from which five (5) are operational.

In this connection, it is stated that M/s.Zeal Pak Cement limited has been restarted in the year 2018, while the cement factories mentioned above at Sr.Nos. 6 to 8 are closed.
Further, the statement Showing year wise production and revenue/income generated from the above mentioned cement factories from Sr.Nos 01 to 4 for last five (05) years are Annexure placed on the Table of the House.
