KHAWAJA-IZHAR-UL-HASSAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that  more than 650 Work Charge Employees of KDA have not been paid the salaries for about last one year due to it hundreds of families are facing intense financial problems; steps taken regarding to pay the salaries by the Government. When will be paid the said salaries?

 

5.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 178 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. SARWAT FATIMA, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that Parking Mafia are collecting money in respect of fees from Public in the Karachi; if so, what steps are taken by the Government against the same?

146.     *Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi:       Will the Minister for Transport and Mass Transit be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that vast areas of proposed Karachi circular railroad are under encroachment;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

 

                                                                        ANSWER

 

SYED AWAIS QADIR SHAH, MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND MASS TRANSIT:

 

(a)   Yes, the vast area of Karachi Circular Railway’s Right of Way (RoW) is under encroachment.

(b)   The reasons is that the Karachi Circular Railway was closed down its operation in 1999 by the Ministry of Railways. Since then the KCR Right of Way remained unattended which resulted in cropping up of the encroachment.

 (a)   Is it a fact that former SRTC terminals have been encroached;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

 

ANSWER

           Yes, it is stated that the following ex-SRTC terminals have been encroached by the Private Persons:-

1185.   *Ms. Mangla Sharma:            Will the Minister for Transport and Mass Transit be pleased to state:-

Number of SRTC buses running under Government of Sindh and names of cities where the said buses are running?

ANSWER

No. There is no any buses of ex-SRTC.


1186.   *Ms. Mangla Sharma:            Will the Minister for Transport and Mass Transit be pleased to state:-

(a)    Is it a fact that transport facilities are provided to the citizens on  occasions of religious and national festivals;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, the details thereof along with budget allocated for the same?

 

ANSWER

 

SYED AWAIS QADIR SHAH, MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND MASS TRANSIT:

 

No, the Transport & Mass Transit Department has no such budgetary provision for providing transport facilities to the citizen on religious and national festivals.
