1.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 203 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY SYED ABDUL RASHEED, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that the condition of Gynaecology Ward of General Hospital Lyari, Government of Sindh is very poor and there is shortage of Doctors due to that Women facing difficulties, steps taken by the Government to improve the same?

SARWAT FATIMA, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that I want to draw the attention towards a private club constructed at Government Park at KDA-1 Resident Club at Street No.7; Government has not taken action against the illegal encroachment; reasons thereof?

3.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 207 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. HEER SOHO, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Home, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that as the mega event of PSL (Pakistan Super League) is going on in Karachi; what steps are taken by the Government regarding Security and Traffic Control for the event to facilitate the spectators and other people to reach the nearby areas of Stadium safely and smoothly?

4.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 205 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. KULSOOM AKHTAR, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Energy, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that high voltage transmission lines (11 KV) are going over the houses/villages in the rural areas, causing potential threat to lives of locals, if so, What steps are taken by the Government to relocate transmission from the localities?

5.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 206 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. GHAZALA SIAL, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Home, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that what steps being taken by the department to establish the Forensic Laboratory in the Province?

99.       *Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi: Will the Minister for Environment, Climate Change & Costal Development be pleased to state:-

The details of the EIA Report on the Bahria Town Towers Project Clifton?

ANSWER

Mr. Muhammad Taimur Talpur, Environment, Climate Change & Costal Development:

            The Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) report of Bahria Icon Tower is at Annexure placed on the table of the House.

286.     *Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi: Will the Minister for Environment, Climate change & Costal Development be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that cement factories in Sindh are burning solid waste as a fuel without approval of the SEPA or any Environmental Impact Report;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

ANSWER

Mr. Muhammad Taimur Talpur, Environment, Climate Change & Costal Development:

It has been verified by the Sindh EPA that none of the cement factories located in Sindh province is burning g solid waste as a fuel.

(a)                  Is it a fact that Karachi has no Laboratory to measure air quality ;

(b)                  If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

ANSWER

Mr. Muhammad Taimur Talpur, Environment, Climate Change & Costal Development:

The Sindh Environmental Protection Agency (SEPA), has two Air Quality Monitoring Laboratories. One is fixed at the roof top of SEPA Head Office whereas the other is installed at the office of Deputy Commissioner Central.

In addition, the SEPA has one mobile air quality van for assessing air pollution in urban areas.

1308.   *Ms. Rana Ansar:              Will the Minister for Environment, Climate Change & Costal Development be pleased to state:-

(a)      Is it a fact that mega development projects are currently in process to protect the environment in the Province;

(b)      If answer to (a) above be in affirmative, the details thereof?

ANSWER

Mr. Muhammad Taimur Talpur, Environment, Climate Change & Costal Development:

Yes, there are few projects currently in process under Annual Development Scheme.

Following are the current schemes:

1.      Strengthening of Environmental Monitoring System in EPA.

2.      Study of environmental, health impacts of pesticides and chemical fertilizer in Sindh province.

3.      Environmental Awareness & Education for Conservation and Protection of Natural and Ecological Resources of Sindh.
