SHAH NAWAZ JADOON, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Public Health Engineering and Rural Development, Sindh may please to give answer/statement regarding non-functioning RO Plants at Sikandarabad, KPT Ground, Keamari, Baba Island and Muhammadi Colony, causing extreme inconvenience to the people of area; when will these RO Plants be made functional; kindly inform the date on which these plants shall be functional?

TAHIRA (DUA BHUTTO), MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that the patients in Gambat Hospital, Gambat Institute of Medical and Health Sciences (GIMHS) are deprived of medical facilities; if so, what stpes are taken by the Government for treatmet of patients?

3.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 147 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. ARSLAN TAJ HUSSAIN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Finance, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that a retired employee of FBR has been appointed in Sindh Revenue Board (SRB); if so, reasons thereof?

4.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 145 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD QASIM, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that in my Constituency PS-115, Baldia Town, Karachi, the residents are depriving for Drinking Water due to shortage of water as well the Sewerage Lines are damaged; what action has been taken by the Government in this regard?

5.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 143 OF 2019;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. RAJA AZHAR KHAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Narcotics Control, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that what measures have been taken by Government of Sindh to eliminate the rising menace of drugs, which is heavily affecting the lives and livelihood of the people of my Constituency PS-97, Karachi, areas (Qayumabad, Bhitai Colony, Allah Wala Town, Zia Colony, Nasir Colony and Chakra Goth)?

*28.     Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi:         Will the Minister for Transport and Mass Transit be pleased to state:-

 

Whether the Government has any plan to introduce/promote the usage of Bio-fuels for public transport in Sindh?

                                                                         ANSWER

 SYED AWAIS QADIR SHAH, MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND MASS TRANSIT:

 

Yes, the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) Red line proposes to use Bio-Fuel/Natural Gas powered for CNG-Hybrid buses to reduce environmental and social impacts created by diesel vehicles used for public transport in Sindh.

*29.     Mr. Arif Mustafa Jatoi:         Will the Minister for Transport and Mass Transit be pleased to state:-

 When the circular railroad is to be completed?

ANSWER

 SYED AWAIS QADIR SHAH, MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND MASS TRANSIT:

 To be completed in three (03) years as time line of per PC-I.

Actual and projected recovery of “Vehicle Route Permit Fee” during the period January 1st 2018 till December 31st 2018?

ANSWER

 

SYED AWAIS QADIR SHAH, MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND MASS TRANSIT:

 

Actual recovery for the period from 01.01.2018 to 31.10.2018 is Rs. 67,849,318/- and projected recovery upto 31.12.2018 is Rs. 81,419,181/-.

 *471.   Mr. Arsalan Taj Hussain:      Will the Minister for Transport and Mass Transit be pleased to state:-

 

(a)  Plans for Mass Transit System for Karachi along with timeline for  execution of all the projects in pipeline;

(b) Number of existing buses in Intra-City Bus Project plans with timeline for the addition in the fleet?

 ANSWER

 SYED AWAIS QADIR SHAH, MINISTER FOR TRANSPORT AND MASS TRANSIT:

 

(a)  i- BRT Green line: GoP, through Karachi Infrastructure Company limited is executing the project. The exact timeline can be intimated by KIDCL.

 

ii- BRT  Abdul Sattar Edhi line (Orange line) Infrastructure component: Substantial completion by end of March, 2019.

 

iii- BRT Red line: with the assistance of Asian Development Bank. The project would be completed in 24 months after approval of PC-I from CDWP and completion of Procurement process.

 

iv- BRT Yellow line: with the assistance of World Bank.  The project would be completed in 24 months after approval of PC-I from CDWP and completion of Procurement process.

 

(b) The proposal have been invited for induction of buses on intra-city routes with minimum induction of 200 buses by an operator / consortium / Joint Venture. The existing operational fleet of buses, mini buses and coaches on intra-city routes and contract services are 17,488.
