RABIA AZFAR NIZAMI, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that the Dow Dental College (DDC) accepted admissions even without being registered with the PMDC and 92 Graduated Students’ Future is at stake as they are not allotted the PMDC Registration Numbers. Whether any mechanism has been devised to address the grievances of the students in coordination with the stakeholders?

2.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 85 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY DR. SEEMA ZIA, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Agriculture, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that  whether it is a fact that the Minimum Support Price for Sugar Cane as well as Commencement of crushing dates  for Sugar Mills have yet to be announced/Notified by the Sindh Government? If So, would the Minister State when can the Poor farmers of Sindh can expect such an announcement/Notification(s)?

3.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 82 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MALIK SHEHZAD AWAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that it’s been weeks since in raising water shortage issue in Baldia Town of my Constituency. What are the reasons for not resolving this matter?

4.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 84 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. ADEEBA HASSAN, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that is it a fact that Freree Naala situated in Bath Island across main Clifton Road Karachi is open, resulting people residing surrounding Naala are facing difficulties including threat of spreading diseases; If So, steps taken by the department to cover the Naala and secure the residents from any unwanted incident?

5.   CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 33 OF 2018;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD ASLAM ABRO, MPA: Will the Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/statement that please update about recruitment status in JIMS Hospital, Jacobabad. Number of cases of Polio reported in the Province during 01/01/2018 to 30/09/2018?

 ANSWER

So far, in the year 2018 ‘no any polio case’ is reported in the Province.

The number of dead bodies released by Abassi Shaheed Hospital during July 1, 2017 to June 30, 2018 after autopsy and with no autopsy?

The number of seats filled for MBBS and BDS at DMC and SMC during 2018 along with the District-wise domicile of each successful student/candidate?

The requisite detail is as under:

 *617.   Mr. Khurram Sher Zaman:   Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that as many as 889 new HIV cases have been reported in province in last six months, while 52 HIV/AIDS infected patients died;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative steps being taken to tackle the disease?

 ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

a).        Yes, it is a fact that there are as many as 889 new HIV cases reported in Sindh Province in the last six months but instead of 52, the number who died during the said period are 22.

b).        Following steps are being taken to tackle the disease:

                  i.   Implementation & monitoring of HIV related interventions and Service Delivery Packages (SDPs).

                ii.   Creation of an environment so that people living with HIV can have more access to free of cost Medical, Social and Support Services so that adherence to Anti-Retroviral Therapy (ART) reaches to 90% by the end of year 2019-20.

              iii.   Control / minimize the incidence of HIV /AIDS by developing Family Health Centers at District level and availability of SDPs for Most at Risk Population (MARP) by 2019-20.

              iv.   Increasing the coverage up to 80% in high risk groups by expanding HIV care services through:

·         378 Family Health Awareness Centers at BHU, RHCs and THQ Hospitals level.

·         24 District Family Health Centers at DHQ Hospitals.

·         09 Tertiary Care Family Health Centers in Teaching Hospitals.

*636.   Mr. Khurram Sher Zaman:   Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)     Is it a fact that the first Chairman of Sindh Healthcare Commission has not been elected yet;

(b)     If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

ANSWER

DR. AZRA FAZAL PECHUHO, MINISTER FOR HEALTH:

a)      No, it is not a fact.

b)      Prof. Dr. Tipu Sultan has been elected as ‘Chairman Sindh Health Care Commission’ through secret ballot by the Commissioners of Sindh Health Care Commission.

The notification in this regard has been issued by Health Department vide number HCC/Con/HD/2017 dated 14^th March 2017. Notification is at Annexure placed on the Table of the House.

*674.   Mr. Khurram Sher Zaman:   Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that  vaccination program for measles is failed in district Dadu;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?
