(a)    It is a fact that vehicles driven in Sindh by NH & MP and all ”GP”  plates are registered in Punjab and Islamabad not in Sindh;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

Mr. Mukesh Kumar Chawala, Minister for Excise, Taxation& Narcotics:

 

The National Highway & Motorway Police is the Federal Agency and since its Headquarter is at Islamabad therefore, their vehicles are registered at Islamabad.

However, if any Federal Department applies for registration herein the Motor Registration Wing, Karachi, their request is entertained as per law / rules / policy and the registration Mark “GP” is allotted to them which is exclusively reserved for Federal Government Departments.

 

*187. Ms. NusratSeharAbbasi:          Will the Minister for Law be please to state:-

 

(a)    Is it fact that a project of construction of two (02) courts at Miro Khan Kamber with cost of Rs.55.000 million is to be completed by June 2019;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, detail of work completed and amount spent todate?

The scheme was approved at an estimated cost of Rs.48.833 Million, in March, 2018 and will be completed in 2019-20, details are as under;

·      Approved Cost Rs.48.833 (M)

·      Expenditure up to June, 2018 Rs.3.4010 (M)

·      Allocation for the year 2018-19 Rs.45.396 (M)

·      Funds Released during C.F.Y 2018-19 Rs.11.3490 (M)

Expenditure during C.F.Y Rs.9.079 (M)
