As advised by the Chief Minister and in exercise of the powers conferred upon me under clause (1) of Article-112 of the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, 1973 and other provisions enabling me in this behalf, Muhammad Kamran Khan Tessori, Governor of Sindh, hereby dissolve the Provincial Assembly of Sindh on 11th day of August, 2023 at 9:00 p.m.

CORRIGENDUM

 

The item No.III appearing in the Orders of the Day for Monday, the 13th August, 2018 be read as follows:

 

III.       SCHEDULE FOR THE ELECTION OF THE OFFICES OF SPEAKER AND  

           DEPUTY SPEAKER.

 

The Honourable Members are to be informed that:

 

(a)                Under Rule 9 and 10 of the Rules of Procedure of the Provincial Assembly of Sindh, a Member may propose or second another Member for election as Speaker or Deputy Speaker.

 

(b)               Nomination papers for the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker can be obtained from the office of the Secretary, Provincial Assembly of Sindh from 09:00 a.m. to 03:00 p.m. on Tuesday, the 14th August, 2018.

 

(c)                After filling the nomination papers, the same will be delivered either by the candidate or the proposer or seconder to the Secretary, Provincial Assembly of Sindh on Tuesday, the 14th August, 2018 upto 05.00 p.m.

 

(d)               The scrutiny of nomination papers will take place on Tuesday, the 14th August, 2018 at 06.00 p.m.

 

(e)                List of valid nomination papers will be affixed on the Notice Board of the Assembly Secretariat on Tuesday, the 14th August, 2018 at 07.00 p.m.

 

(f)                The election of the offices of Speaker and Deputy Speaker will be held, by Secret Ballot, on Wednesday, the 15th August, 2018 at 10.00 a.m.

 

      (g)    Declaration of the names of candidates elected, as Speaker and Deputy Speaker.
