Details of Co-operative Societies Act-1925 along with details of amendments made in the same up till now?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Co-operation:
The Registrar had the power to issue Search Warrant, covers under Section 4 and 4-A of Manual of Sindh Cooperative Societies Act 1925.
Societies may be registered under Section (5) of Sindh Cooperative Societies Act 1925 Section (7) and (8) respectively.
Application of registration-Registration-Evidence of Registration-Annual General Body Meeting-Special General Meeting-change of name its effect-Amalgamation or transfer of Societies-Amendment of the Byelaws of a society-under Section (9), (10), (11), (12), (13), (14), (15) and (16) respectively.
Address of societies-copy of Act, etc., to be open to inspection Audit-Power of Registrar to exercise powers under Section 50-A in the course of an audit under Section (20), (22) and (22-A) respectively.
Societies to be bodies corporate-transfer of interest on death of member-Liability of past member-liability of the estates of deceased member-Registrar of members-Adminissbility of copy of entry as evidence-Under Section (23), (27), (28), (29), (30) and (31) respectively.
Inquiry by Registrar, Inspection of books of indebted society inspection of books of indebted inspection of books by Financing bank-power of registrar to exercise powers Under Section 42 (1), 44 (A), 44(B), 45 and 46 respectively.
Winding up-society may be wound up if membership is reduced-Effect of cancellation of registration-powers of liquidator power of registrar to assess damage against delinquent promoters, etc. Under Section (47), (48), (49), (50) and (50-A) respectively.
Disposal of surplus assets-surplus assets of housing society-Arbitration-Registrar’s power to setaside the award and order the dispute to be referred back to arbitration under Section (52), (53), (54-A) respectively.
Appeal against award of arbitrator-Finality of awards in certain orders-powers to enforce attendance-money how recovered under Section (56) (57) (58) and (59) respectively.
Appeals-power of Provincial Government and the Registrar to call for proceedings of Sub-ordinate Officers and to pass orders thereon, Finality of orders of provincial government under Section (64), (64-A) and (64-AA) respectively.

Definition of CDD and what are its functions?

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Co-operation:
After the promulgation of the District Government through Local Government Ordinance 2002. The CDD (Community and Development Department) comprised of four Department vis: (1) Social Welfare (2) Sports (3) Cooperative Department and (4) Labour. Through CDD all the four Departments obtained their individual budget.

(a) Is it a fact that societies for ladies also exist in the province;
(b) If answer to (a) above is affirmative, number of same along with its aims and objects?
ANSWER
SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Co-operation:
Yes total number of Ladies Societies are 303
Amis and Objects.
i. To suppliant the family income of the members to improve their socio-economic condition.
ii. To purchase embroidery machines, buffalos and raw material to supply the same to its members.
iii. To improve health condition of the members and their children’s and to create sense of better living amongst them.
iv. To make realize the habit of thrift amongst the members to become financially sound.

Number of sanctioned strength of judges in Sindh High Court alongwith number of judges actually working therein?

Justice Mrs. Ashraf Jahan has been appointed by transfer as Judge of the Federal Shariat Court for a period of two years; keeping her lien in Sindh High Court hence her name is not included in working strength.

District-wise number of courts exists in the province along with number of judges posted in each?
