NAHEED BEGUM, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Home, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that Abid Qureshi, a resident of Rohri Ali Wahan has been killed in a fake Police encounter in Sukkur and FIR has been lodged against the affectees; steps taken by the department in this regard?

5.  CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 31 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD SALEEM RAJPUT, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that under which law the high rise buildings are being constructed in Sukkur city?

*3327. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for STEVTA be pleased to state:-

District-wise number of persons trained in construction trade during 2009 to 2013 including the amount spent on the same?

 *3328. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for STEVTA be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that the Government has allocated funds for vocational training to Child Labour during 2009 to 2013;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, district wise number of same benefitted or likely to be benefitted?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for STEVTA:

No funds have been allocated to Sindh TEVTA for Vocational Training and Rehabilitation of Child Labour. However, Social Welfare and Labour Department would be in better position to answer.

 *3330. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for STEVTA be pleased to state:-

Steps taken by Government to improve training facilities at vocational training institutions of the province?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for STEVTA:

There are 251 institutions (Boys & Girls) functioning under STEVTA to impart Technical, Vocational Education and Training for better employability of youth of the Sindh Province, The institutions have been provided with Training facilities including staff, relevant Equipment and training material as per courses being offered. However, with the passage of time, some Equipment have become outdated require replacement with new modern ones as per need. STEVTA is procuring annually new Equipment and Machinery out of allocated budget. Besides, new Equipment being procured under Sindh Skills Development Project for 47 institutions in 33 Trades/Technologies. Renovation/Repair & Maintenance work is also being carried-out as per budgeted allocations.

In order to ensure employability, MOUs have been signed with Pakistan Air Force (PAF), Institute of Business Administration, Sukkur (IBA) and Family Foundation under Public Private Partnership (PPP) mode so that these organizations can further assist in employability of youth immediately after training is completed.

 *3633. MS. HEER SOHO: Will the Minister for Human Rights be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that a women Jumny Menghwar mother of four children was tortured by two persons in new Chhore Umarkot but no action was taken by Police;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Human Rights:

The report was called from Superintendent of Police Umerkot wherein he has started that this matter is about 3 year old and case was registered vide Crime No. 14/2013 U/S 354-A-I, 337-A-I, F-I PPC against the nominate accused. During the course of investigation allegation leveled by complainant could not been proved as true for Challan in the Court. (“Flag-A”), placed on the table of the House.

Hence case was disposed under “NC’ Class. Copy of SP Umerkot is attached.

Location-wise names of programs presently going on in the province?
