Summary of Proceedings

Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th April, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Mr. Nand Kumar, MPA:-

“This House resolves that Provincial Government declare the occasions of Holi, Dewali and Easter as Public Holidays for Minorities permanently and advance salaries be paid on those occasions to the employees of Sindh Government belonging to the Minorities.”.


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th April, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Dr. Seema Zia, MPA:-

“This Assembly resolves that Provincial Government impose ban on import, sale and purchase of beetal nut & Gutka in the entire Province of Sindh. According to medical statistics chewing gutka is injurious to health and is pre-cancerous.”.


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th April, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Ms. Ghazala Sial, MPA:-

“This Assembly resolves and recommends to the Government of Sindh to approach the Federal Government to direct and bound the electric supply companies working in the Province of Sindh to stop the un-announced load-shedding, which cause several problems to the people of the Province.”.


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th April, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Engineer Sabir Hussain Kaimkhani, MPA:-

“Thousands of students after completing their college education remain unable to get University education due to unavailability of Government sector University in Hyderabad. The House resolves that keeping in view the dire need of a city campus of Sindh University be established at old campus model school on immediate basis and all the latest modern departments be directed to conduct their classes at city campus.”.

(a)   Is it a fact that there is any plan to start a burn centre in Mirpurkhas;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, steps taken in this regard?

(a)      No, it is a not a fact.

(b)      However, the burns patients having less than 40% injuries are treated at Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas in surgical ward and others are referred to the Liaquat University of Medical & Health Sciences, Hyderabad.

 *3376. MS. KHAIRUNISA MUGHAL: Will the Minister for Health be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that dengue affected patients are sent to Hyderabad from Mirpurkhas for we don’t have cell separation machine;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, can Health Department mange such machine in district Mirpurkhas?

 ANSWER

JAM MEHTAB HUSSAIN DAHAR, Minister for Health:

(a)      Yes it is a fact.

According to District Health Officer Mirpurkhas there is no cell separation machine at Civil Hospital Mirpurkhas and the patients with platelet count less than 40000 are referred to Liaquat University of Medical Health Sciences, Hyderabad for expert management.

(b)      Yes the Health Department can manage to shift cell separation machine to district Mirpurkhas as the Program Manager Dengue Prevention & Control Program, Sindh has informed that an extra cell separator machines is available at District Ghotki.
