1.  CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 47 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. IRUM AZEEM FAROOQUE, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Home, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that the street crimes day by day increasing in the Karachi City, if so, what action taken by the Government in this regard?

2.  CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 39 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. KAMRAN AKHTER, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that the acute shortage of water in District West specially in the Baldia Town, Karachi, what action taken by the Government in this regard?

3.  CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 42 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD SALEEM RAJPUT, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that a child fell into uncovered Sewer a few days ago at Sukkur. The Child had died. Whether Honourable Minister took notice of the incident if so, action taken against the responsibles?

4.  CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 13 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. JAMAL AHMED, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that high rise buildings are being constructed at North Nazimabad area of Karachi, no one is to check this activity. Service roads are badly damaged, where the said construction takes place it is difficult to drive there. What is SBCA doing as well as steps taken by the Government in this regard?

5.  CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 34 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. SHEERAZ WAHEED, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that is it a fact that the Sewerage lines are over flow in the Karachi City Specially in Korangi District if so, what steps taken by the Department in this regard?

V.       PRIVILEGE MOTION NO. 06 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD HUSSAIN KHAN, MPA REGARDING PROVINCIAL ASSEMBLY OF SINDH HAS UNANIMOUSLY PASSED/ CARRIED RESOLUTION TO RESOLVE GENERAL PUBLIC ISSUE IN ITS SITTING HELD ON TUESDAY, THE 3^RD MARCH, 2015 BUT NOT YET IMPLEMENTED BY THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

VI.     ADJOURNMENT MOTION NO. 04 OF 2016;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. HEER SOHO, MPA AND MS. NAILA MUNIR, MPA REGARDING TRIBAL CLASH RUNNING AMONG JEHA COMMUNITY IN GARHI YASEEN RESOLVED THROUGH JIRGA AND PENALTY OF RS. 74 LACS WERE IMPOSED.

*215. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Local Government be pleased to state:-

Current/future planned capacity of water supply pipelines/canals supplying water to Karachi through Keenjhar/Haleji lake?

 ANSWER

MR. JAM KHAN SHORO, Minister for Local Government:

Presently, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board is supplying 550 MGD through Indus source. 100 MGD form Hub Dam source could not be supplied due to draught/low level of Hub source.

(a)      In first phase K-IV will supply 260 MGD, which is under process.

(b)      KW&SB is upgrading the Greater Karachi System/Haleji System by launching scheme i.e. 65 MGD additional water from Haleji to Pipri.

 *602. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Local Government be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that terminal flyover near airport was inaugurated by the Governor Sindh on    29^th May, 2013 and then the same was instantly closed for traffic and is still closed;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the reasons thereof along with the expenditure incurred on it?

 ANSWER

MR. JAM KHAN SHORO, Minister for Local Government:

(a)      The Jinnah Terminal Flyover Shahrah-e-Faisal near Airport was inaugurated by Hon’ble Governor Sindh on 29^th May 2013 and after inauguration, the same was closed for minor fishing. However, it was opened for traffic from 4^th June 2013.

(b)      The expenditure incurred on the same was Rs. 330.654 million.

*835. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Local Government be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that all the record of land department of KMC will soon be computerized or has been computerized;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the details thereof including the benefit of the same?

 ANSWER

MR. JAM KHAN SHORO, Minister for Local Government:

The record of Land Department, KMC needs to be computerized, as it is necessary demand of the present era.

Presently, it is not possible to computerize the record of Land Department of Karachi metropolitan Corporation, due to financial constraints. As soon as requisite funds are made available, the computerization will start.

 *3113. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Local Government be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that defunct CDGK gave a contract for purchase of two Asian Elephants to a contractor at the rate of Rs. 9.99 million but contractor supplied two African Elephants at the same rate;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof along with any probe on it?

 ANSWER

MR. JAM KHAN SHORO, Minister for Local Government:

It is incorrect that defunct CDGK gave contract for purchase of two Asian Elephants to a Contractor at the rate of Rs. 9.99 million per Asian Elephant.

In fact, the Contractor, had offered at the rate of Rs. 9.99 million per “African Elephants (Loxodanta Africana) instead of Asian Elephants at the rate of Rs. 9.99 million per African Elephant. Accordingly, the contract was awarded to him and he had supplied two African Elephants (Loxodanta Africana)

 *3379. MS. KHAIRUNISA MUGHAL: Will the Minister for Local Government be pleased to state:-

Name, BPS and date of posting of each administrator posted in Karachi?

 ANSWER
