Summary of Proceedings

Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th January, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Mr. Kamran Akhter,MPA:-
“The acute attention of this august House is here by drawn towards the so called VIP Culture/Protocol the critical situation, arising out in the Province ,rather all over the country ,is paying the precious and intense cost, as many precious lives are being put to the edge of the sad demise, as well as disabilities for whole life, only due to the closure of main public roads etc.for a longest period of time, with the result all ailing person rather person requiring emergency help and first-aid are being handicapped and remained at the mercy of the elite personals, who ever, never think that the VIP culture/protocol has caused a miserable and irreparable loss to the aggrieved families. Therefore, it would be more advisable to restrict it to such away where the common society can bare with very gaily.”


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th January, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Ms. Irum Azeem Farooque,MPA,Mr Nisar Ahmed Khuhro, Senior Minister for Education & Literacy and Pariamentary Affairs,Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan,MPA/Leader of Opposition,Provincial Assembly of Sindh,Ms.Mahtab Akber Shah Rashdi,MPA Ms.Khairunsia Mughal,MPA and Mr.Khuram Sher Zaman,MPA.:-

“This Assembly resolves and recommends to the Government of Sindh to approach the Federal Government to conduct fair and transparent census subject to the following conditions in view of our reservations relating to the holding of House Count in three days.
1.     
That the Census Authority shall have representation of all the Provinces of Pakistan.
2.     
That the modalities to conduct census shall be evolved with the consent of the representatives of all Provinces.” 


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th January, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Syed Khalid Ahmed,MPA:-
“This Assembly resolves and recommends that the sindh Government should establish Fire Brigade Stations having adequate number of Fire Brigade Vehicles with allied facilities in all districts of Sindh.”


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th January, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Ms.Naila Munir,MPA:-
“This House congratulates Pakistan’s Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy on her documentary ‘A girl in the River-The price of Forgiveness’ nominated for an Oscar.Her work has been admired & recognized in the best documentary-short subject category for the 88th Academy Awards.


This documentary highlights the evil & controversial practice of Honour Killing in Pakistan.


Honour Killing effects hundreds of women in Pakistan every year where women are killed in the name of “HONOUR” MQM has always voiced against this practice and our leader Mr. Altaf  Hussain has fought against odds to empower women of Pakistan in all walks of life
.

This House resolves & recommends the government should launch awareness campaigns and take action around this crisis, igniting change for women & help put this miserable abuse of human rights to an end.“


Provincial Assembly of Sindh in its sitting held on Tuesday, the 19th January, 2016 has unanimously passed the following Resolution moved by Ms.Nusrat Sehrer Abbasi,MPA:-

Regarding those teachers who are in line of promotion to become Headmaster/Headmistress, meetings of Departmental Promotion Committee are being convened to consider such promotions in order of seniority-cum-fitness basis.
