*2573. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Cooperation be pleased to state:-

Location-wise number of general body meetings of the department held during 2009 to 2013 alongwith details of meetings?

 

ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Cooperation:

From time to time Cooperation Department use to hold various official meetings in connection to resolve different problems/matters. However, holding of general body meetings is not the task of Cooperation Department, Government of Sindh. It is supposed to be held by.

 

 

*2613. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Cooperation be pleased to state:-

Location of district-wise number of independent societies existed inspected by the department during 2009 to 2013?

 

ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Cooperation:

There exist no any numbers of independent societies which are being inspected by the Department during 2009 to 2013. However, there are so many Registered Cooperative Societies which comes into the jurisdiction of Cooperative Department and are being controlled/governed under the manual Act, 1925.

 

 

*2614. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Cooperation be pleased to state:-

District-wise number of search warrants issued against societies with name of society during 2009 to 2013?

 

ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Cooperation:

No search warrant issued in the districts except Karachi against the Cooperative Societies. Whereas, 28 search warrants have been issued in the Karachi district during 2009 to 2013.

 

 

*3010. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Cooperation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Chairman and General Secretary of Dehli Muslim Cooperative Housing Society Sukkur, Sindh Cooperative Housing Society Sukkur and Sukkur Cooperative Housing Society Sukkur during 2010 to 2012;

(b)   Is it a fact that irregularities have been reported in the allotment of plots;

(c)    If answer to (b) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

(c)      Most of irregularities that have been reported, Show that plots of the members are cancelled and re-allotted to new members such complaints have been received and some of such disputes have been referred to Arbitration under Section 54 of Cooperative Societies Act, 1925.

 

 

*3314. MR. MUHAMMAD SHAHARYAR KHAN MAHAR: Will the Minister for Cooperation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Fishermen Co-operative Society is considering giving membership to Bengalis and Burmese instead of local fishermen;

(b)   If answer to (a) above be in the affirmative, the reasons thereof?

 

ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Cooperation:

The answer of this question is “No”.

According to the office record, Fishermen’s Cooperative Society Ltd., Karachi does not considered any membership application of Bangalies and Burmese. It was decided by the Board of Director’s meeting dated 19-02-2003 that all the membership applications may first be verified by the Welfare committee and then be placed before the Board for approval.

 

 

*3315. MR. MUHAMMAD SHAHARYAR KHAN MAHAR: Will the Minister for Cooperation be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that despite the orders passed by Sindh High Court dated 17-02-2014 to allow elected Directors of Fishermen Co-operative Society to resume their work, they are being denied by the Chairman;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the reasons thereof?

 

ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Cooperation:

In strict compliance of order dated 17.02.2014 passed by the Honourable High Court of Sindh in CP No.D-741 of 2014 at Annexure, placed on the table of the House, the elected directors of FCS are not in any way restrained to perform their responsibilities as elected Director.
