*2192. MR. KHURRAM SHER ZAMAN: Will the Minister for Women Development be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that display centers have been established during 2011 to 2013 to introduce the work of handicraft and skills of women for other cities;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Women Development:

A Sales & Display Resources Center is working at State Life Building No. 4 near Pearl Continental Hotel Karachi in collaboration with Home Net Pakistan as per MOU between Women Development Department and Home Net Pakistan.

Women artisans from all over Sindh are to display of their products in various exhibitions so, that they not only get financial benefits by selling their product but also their products are recognized in national and international markets.

 *2193. MR. KHURRAM SHER ZAMAN: Will the Minister for Women Development be pleased to state:-

(a)   Whether there is any arrangement of hotel/accommodation in the province at government level for working women;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Women Development:

Working Women Hostel at Benazirabad.

A building owned by Ministry of Women Development, Government of Pakistan to provide accommodation facilities to working women coming from far flung areas in Shaheed Benazirabad Sindh on subsidized rates, which will help economic empowerment of women and is in accordance with the policies of Government.

The Hostel building will be functional during next financial year i.e. 2014-15 after some repair work.

 Working Women Hostel at Karachi.

In order to provide accommodation facilities to working women coming to Karachi from far flung areas of Sindh on subsidized rates, a project namely Working Women Hostel at Karachi has been proposed in the ADP 2014-15. 

*2224. DR. SEEMA ZIA: Will the Minister for Women Development be pleased to state:-

Number of vacant posts at Day Care Center, Karachi and Sales and Display Resources Center, Karachi as well as recruitment procedure?

Number of vacant posts at Day Care Centre at Karachi and Sales and Display Resources Centre, Karachi, are as under:

1.   Day Care Centre at Karachi.

 2.   Sales & Display Resource Centre at Karachi.

 The Department follows the recruitment rules and observes all codal formalities including advertisement of the post in newspaper and minutes of selection committee as laid down in Rule-4(1) of Sindh Civil Servants (Appointment, Promotion & Transfer) Rules 1947.

 *2317. DR. SEEMA ZIA: Will the Minister for Information be pleased to state:-

Details of the advertisements given for the recruitments during 2013-14 by the department along with grade-wise number of persons recruited?

ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

(1)      Information Department has not given any advertisement for recruitments of any post during 2013-14 nor any recruitment have been made.

(2)      The Archives Department had advertised on 12-09-2013 & 14-09-2013 for recruitment of officials from BPS-1 to BPS-15 and had recruited 18 persons with the approval of Competent Authority i.e. the Chief Minister Sindh.

 *2642. MR. MUHAMMAD MOIN AAMIR PIRZADA: Will the Minister for Information be pleased to state:-

Year-wise number of NOCs issued for dramas, stage shows, musical concerts etc. along with fee collected from the same during 2008 to 2013?

 ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

The year wise number of NOCs issued for drams, stage shows, musical concerts etc during 2008 to 2013 are as under:-

No fee was imposed/collected on issuing of above NOCs during 2008 to 2013. However, the fee has now been imposed on functions held at public places under Dramatic Performance Act 1876/1984 vide notification dated 11-11-2014 at the following rates:-

 *2646. MR. MUHAMMAD MOIN AAMIR PIRZADA: Will the Minister for Information be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that monthly “Izhar” (Urdu) and “Paigham” (Urdu) are published by Information department;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, monthly circulation and expenditure of same during March 2008 to March 2013?

 ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

(a)      Monthly “Izhar” is an Urdu magazine while “Paigham” is a Sindh magazine, published by the Information Department on regular basis.

(b)      1000 copies of each magazine are circulated to Government/Semi Government Offices and other media houses as well as writers & intellectuals, Press Clubs, Libraries etc. The Expenditure on the publication of same from 2008 to 2013 is as under:

District-wise number of District Information Officers working under Information department along with BPS of each?

 ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

The 18 posts of District Information Officer BPS-17 have been up-graded & re-designated as Deputy Director Information, BPS-18 by Finance Department, Government of Sindh vide advice No. FD(SR-IV) 2-5/2010 dated 30-05-2011. The number of Information Officers    BPS-17 working at district level are as under:
