Annual Budget of Sindh House Islamabad during 2011-12 and 2012-13 is as under:

What is the current position of the construction work of Khairpur bridge?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

Two bridges are under construction in Khairpur city.

(1)      Luqman Bridge (Under Provincial set up)

(2)      Overhead Bridge at Therhi Phatak (Under District setup)

 The current position is as under:

(1)    Luqman Bridge

(Under Provincial set up)

Bridge work is completed except carpeting which is under progress.

 (2)    Overhead Bridge at Thehri Phatak

(Under District setup)

The work on Thehri Phatak Bridge is in progress under District setup. About 86% of physical work is complete.

 *2560. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that roads of Madeji and its surroundings are partially damaged and people are facing difficulties, there are also panaflexes of elected members in different link roads but work is 0%;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, reasons thereof alongwith steps taken by the government in this regard?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)      The roads of Madeji and its surroundings need improvement and repairs for which Works & Services Department has prepared following schemes.

(i)   Scheme under Provincial Setup

“Improvement of road from Madeji to Dakhan road mile 0/0-8/0 (13.00 Kms)’ is included in ADP 2014-15 (in two parts). Mile 0/0-5/0 (8.00 Kms)’ is included in ADP 2014-15 at Sr. No. 2417 costing Rs. 111.278 million and mile 5/0-8/0 (5.00 Kms)” is included in ADP 2014-15 at Sr. No. 2502 costing Rs. 59.755 million.

Qambar to Dost Ali road exist in district Qambar along with reasons and period of not construction of road from Dost Ali to Meran Machhi road?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

Dost Ali road to Miran Machni in district Qambar Shahdadkot is already constructed, however, it needs maintenance and repair, which will be undertaken as soon as funds are available.

 *2683. MR. MUHAMMAD MOIN AAMIR PIRZADA: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

Number of posts filled in Works & Services department on urban quota during 01-01-2008 to 15-03-2013 along with name, post, BPS and domicile of each employee?

ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

During the period 01-01-2008 to 15-03-2013 total 226 posts were filled in Works & Services Department in different grades against urban quota. Detail of name, post, BPS and domicile of each employee is at Annexure, placed on the table of the House.

 *2983. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Super Highway between Karachi and Hyderabad is the property of Sindh Government;

(b)   Is it also a fact that the same is leased out to Federal Government and lease has so far expired;

(c)    If answer to (b) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)      Yes, Karachi-Hyderabad Super Highway was under administrative control of Communication and Works Department, (now Works & Services Department), Government of Sindh and was handed over to National Highway Authority on 27-01-1993 for maintenance and improvement.

(b)      Works and Services Department has not leased out the same. However, Land Utilization Department was approached by NHA for the Right of Way of the Super Highway.

 *3011. MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR: Will the Minister for Works & Services be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that Lance Down Bridge at Sukkur has been handed over to Sindh Government;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, when and whether any repair work has also been carried-out there?

 ANSWER

MIR HAZAR KHAN BAJARANI, Minister for Works & Services:

(a)      The Lansdown Bridge at Sukkur belongs to Pakistan Railways, Government of Pakistan and has not been handed over to Sindh Government.
