NUSRAT BANO SEHER ABBASI, MPA: The Honourable Senior Minister for Education & Literacy, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that New Session of Academic Year, 2015 has been started from 1^st April, 2015 in Sindh and books of Sindh Text Book Board are not available in book shop; steps taken by the Department?

4.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 06 OF 2015;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. NAND KUMAR, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Health, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that whether it is a fact that there is acute shortage of medicine in Khairpur Hospital, people of the area purchase the medicine from Private Medical Store; do Government intends to take step to?

5.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 03 OF 2015; GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. IX.       LAYING OF ORDINANCES BEFORE THE ASSEMBLY UNDER ARTICLE 128(2)(a) OF THE CONSTITUTION OF THE ISLAMIC REPUBLIC OF PAKISTAN:-

1.    SINDH ORDINANCE NO. I OF 2015- The Sindh Information of Temporary Residents Ordinance, 2015.

2.    SINDH ORDINANCE NO. II OF 2015- The Sindh Security of Vulnerable Establishments Ordinance, 2015.

 *2027. MS. KHAIRUNISA MUGHAL: Will the Minister for Social Welfare be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that the Dar-ul-Aman has been taken from Social Welfare department and handed over to NGO;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for Social Welfare:

Only one Darul Aman, Karachi had handed over to the NGO namely “Panah Trust” during 2007 on agreement basis for 10 years by the then City District Nazim, Karachi. (Mustafa Kamal)

 *2822. MS. NUSRAT SEHER ABBASI: Will the Minister for STEVTA be pleased to state:-

(a)   Is it a fact that any funds have been provided by different international donors for the improvement of STEVTA department;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

SYED QAIM ALI SHAH JILLANI, (Chief Minister) Minister for STEVTA:

(a)      Yes, STEVTA is undertaking World Bank Funded Sindh Skills Development Project. The project comprised of 03 components. Component-I relates to BSYDP and Component-II & III are implemented by STEVTA.

(i)   The cost of Component-II is Rs. 430 million co-funded by World Bank & GoS (at proportion of 75% & 25% respectively) for:-

·            Facility up-gradation of selected labs of institutions.

·            Equipment and machinery for 70 market driven programs.

(ii)  The cost of Component-III is Rs. 118 million now increased to Rs. 200 million for:-

·               Capacity building of STEVTA, Institutions, TTB/SBTE.

·               Bring institutional reforms.

·               Institute Management Committee.

·               Career Counseling Placement Cell.

(b)   (i)  Under Component-II out of 430 million 74.5 million have been released during the last 02 years out of which 41.3 million have been incurred on facility up-gradation/renovation works of selected institutions. Remaining balance of Rs. 355.5 million is yet to be released from GoS for procurement of training Equipment & Machinery for 70 market driven training programs.

(ii) Under Component-III World Bank released Rs. 95.3 million during last 02 years out of which Rs. 71.83 million have been incurred on Capacity Building Programs, STEVTA management including STEVTA Trainers, Principals/Managers, governance reforms.

(a)   Is it fact that Medical Social Work Project has been closed;

(b)   If answer to (a) above is affirmative, the details and reasons thereof?

Yes. These were closed during the year 2001 for the reasons to comply with the directives of the Government of Sindh for down sizing/right sizing of the Department.

The present enrolment of students and teaching and non-teaching working staff in Technical College/Institution at taluka Faiz Ganj district Khairpur?
