2.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 70 OF 2015;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. KAMRAN AKHTAR, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that the Fire incidents occur every day or the other in the city resulting loss of millions of rupees and loss of valuable human lives, which is in remediable. Government should establish rescue centers District-wise with latest equipments; number of ready and out of order fire tenders presently rescue centers possess; the out of order fire tenders be repaired and in this regard an allocation of 440729 was approved for upgradation of Fire Services Building KMC as ADP No. 1653 on 9-5-2014, but despite of passed 8 to 9  months the summary still is in pending, so funds may be released immediately and which steps have been taken for same by the Government?

 

3.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 85 OF 2015;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MS. HEER SOHO, MPA: The Honourable Senior Minister for Education & Literacy, Sindh  may please to give answer/ statement that only 30 percent funds could be utilized out of cost 8 billions 51 crores allocated for schemes under ADP for Education Department reasons, thereof?

 

4.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 64 OF 2015;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD DILAWAR QURESHI, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer/ statement that Citizens of Hyderabad facing shortage of drinking water due to closure of filter plant and need of new filter plant is required on urgent basis, Government is requested to take steps urgently to provide facility of drinking water to the public?

 

5.    CALL ATTENTION NOTICE NO. 65 OF 2015;GIVEN NOTICE OF BY MR. MUHAMMAD RASHID KHILJI, MPA: The Honourable Minister for Local Government, Sindh may please to give answer / statement that sufficient steps have not been taken to make water filter plant installed at Hyderabad completely functional and supply of standard water, whether Sindh Government has granted special package in this regard?

(d)   If answer to (c) above is affirmative, the details thereof;

 ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

(a)      Yes payment to different organization/newspapers is due under the head of advertisements.

(b)      The balance of dues constantly varies because of daily business i.e. payment of dues and issuance of new advertisements.

(c)      The payment of dues under advertisements has been made from 2002 to 2007.

(b)   If answer to (a) above is negative, the reasons thereof?

(c)    Policy adopted by the information department, Government of Sindh to acquire services from advertising agency?

ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

The details of advertisements are given on websites on daily basis for information of public.

The advertisements agencies are hired by the department as per provision of section (9) of advertisement Policy 2011.

The process of acquiring these agencies includes.

(a)    Publication of pre-qualification notices in the press.

(b)    Submission of record of performance/profile of agency.

(c)    Presentation by the agency before the Scrutiny Committee of Information Department.

(a)   Procedure adopted to acquire services of advertising agencies alongwith detail/number of business advertisements circulated through advertising agencies during April, 2008 up till now;

(b)   Is it a fact that the merit was kept on priority in above;

(c)    If answer to (b) above is affirmative, the details thereof?

 ANSWER

MR. SHARJEEL INAM MEMON, Minister for Information:

The services of advertisement agencies are acquired on merit basis. The Information Department invites the advertising agencies through pre qualification Notice published in leading newspapers for presentation before the Competent Authority after having being scrutinized thoroughly as per Advertisement Policy 2011. The Information Department has started to give advertisement through advertising agencies from 2012 onwards (print and electronic media both). The details of business given to advertising agencies from 2012 till date is as under:
